  1. Actually, i just need a stupid phone like Nokia, i could give up smartphone better than those expensive shits =]].
Love ya, keep it up, i'm following your channel ✌

  2. Wait. You get one of these phones to disconnect (mainly from social media) the whole purpose of these phones is being less addicted to your phone. So the first the he does is try to pull up instagram, then review how functional the other social media apps are? ??‍♂️ What’s the point in that?

  3. All we need is a phone about the same size as the old Nokia 3310 with a good camera 5mp a good texting keyboard lots of memory and 4g hang on I think I have found it a Blackberry and cheep see not so hard was it

  4. In answer to the question "Would you give up your Smart Phone for a Minimalist Phone", it's important to understand, it's unnecessary to know or use ALL the features and even the most complicated Phone can be as simple as you want to make them. Use only what you need.

  5. I have what I consider to be the best "detox" phone ever..the LG 306G. It is a virtually indestructible (dropped quite a few times…no damage whatsoever!) feature phone with a pretty decent range of utilitarian apps pre-loaded (alarm, calculator; notepad, post-it notes; tasks folder, calendar to name a few…). It also gives one the ability to switch from abc, to t-9, to virtual qwerty for real flexibility in texting. There is a Facebook app also pre-loaded but, like the browser, it is a very minimal type of user experience…which is great for someone who is tired of the social media circus! And the browser does come through in a pinch ( no Google maps though). The camera is also..bad..but, again, this is a detox phone.
The only major drawback? It is 3G and the USA is phasing 3G out…and LG is not planning to release a phone like this one using 4G LTE. So, it will be back to a flip phone for me, because I do not want or need the constant addictive distraction of a smartphone.
RIP little LG 306G. I'm gonna miss you.

  6. buddy, you should have just cut yourself from the review and let the public do some sort of "trial tests" of their own or some of the staff you work with, you did not help the cause of the video at all…

  7. I would give up smart phones (I've done it before), but I'm a merchant sailor. Being able to use Wifi when I go out of country is more convenient than having to buy sim cards for different regions AND smart phones make it easier to handle stuff like bills and home affairs that I can't really manage as easily on a basic phone

Otherwise, I'm all for a reality where we get away from social media and smart devices. I think we've allowed them to ruin the way we interact with each other AND how we interact with the direct world around us

  8. The only minimalist phone on here is the light phone, Punkt has Punk'd it's users as it has internet, the others are smartphones stop lying to yourself

  9. good video however I found the idea of buying a iphone by paying huge amount, then deleting all social media and other distracting apps….can you rethink on what did you say and do this video once again.

  10. Just buy an 8 gig budget smartphone with sd card for music(, you can't move apps onto it). That way you'll have Google maps as well since it is essential in today's world, and best of all, they're cheap

  11. Senior market is a big market that companies tend to forget about, they usually are looking for something light compact simple with minimal functions.

  12. My first [semi] smart phone was from a company called AMP'D. It was the first that would show video however it was AMP'D'S own line of cartoons and tech shows… one cartoon even made it to the Cartoon Network for a few seasons called Lil' Bush.

  13. You don't need to buy a new phone that does barely anything all you need to do is turn off your wi-fi turn off your internet connection and then your phone would be only able to do two things make phone calls and texts

  14. That dude has no idea of cell phone technology. Can't even say Nokia or realise that the phone he has in his hand does NOT run on any "Nokia proprietary" software but on the cookie-cutter Mediatek system, the keyboard does NOT have t9, also known as predictive texting, he is writing in multi-tap mode. I can actually text quicker on proper t9 enabled phones than on "virtual on-screen keyboards" on today's smartphones.

Btw, t9 is a registered trademark of Tegic corporation.

  15. I agree with this. Keeping the smart phone would be great if it just had texting, calling, gps, and a nice camera. I would love to buy a phone with these features and no apps or internet connectivity.

  16. if my Job didn't require me to use Google drive, I would definitely buy the Light phone and if Light phone 2 added a calculator, its a definite yes for me
