  2. Game preservation is only a concern to people who don't have anything more important to keep them occupied.
Life is a river in which you can never step in the same part twice

  3. A perfect open world for me became Red Dead Redemption 2 and it's because it is as big as it needs to be. The dynamic side-missions fill the longer stretches of riding or great dialogue in main missions.
I agree with what Sam mentioned. It's okay to have fast travel, but if the player is constantly using it, then something is seriously wrong with the open world.

I quit AC: Odyssey for several reasons, but one of them was the open world just feeling empty and pointless, a ludicrous amount of questionmarks that never really led to anything but a title for a place you'll never see again. Those questionmarks was obviously lifted from The Witcher 3, but there they led to sidequests or enviromental storytelling.

  4. I always feel bad for these poor souls who give up their favorite hobby because their significant other is still stuck in an outdated mindset from the 90’s. Never date someone like that, folks.

  5. Horizon Zero Dawn has an awesome Open World.. distinct vistas with unique color tones and specific enemy types inhabiting each area. The world had a theme to let you know where you were without checking the map. Never got lost. I can say something similar for other games such as Red Dead Redemption 2.

  6. As my wife always says, "It's not the size that matters, it's what you do wiith it." As long as the game has a lot of great content, size will never matter. That is why Gta V is a great game and No Mans Lie is not.
