1. Its a great device though hold on before go to cheer about this Jap Industrial might , the phone gets quickly hot during normal Central European summer climate , poor camera performance on whatsup mode, cam , video and flash modes on screen barely visible ,cam ops on whatsup mode really confusing , no quick APP launch icon , Sony Corp factory installed AWS APP spies on you no matter if you permit the APP to work or not mainly foremost AWS is collecting ads on your phone which all leaving tracking bugs . No protective case no phone protection coze it tends to slip of your hands . All in one is not a bad device and yet camera's expectancy leaves much to desire the issue with with no phones jack is not serious , more serious are the surprizes you may get with those Japs once you operated the phone for a year or more and then their terrible and arrogant customer service ( Europe ) . In a year or less Chinese will come up with something better and faster than Sony at half of the money you work for !

2. An English guy desperate to sound as American as possible, it's like he's gone out of his way to check the way everything is pronounced…I just gave up after, 'what's under the hood', my gawwwwd, 'tis BONNET for goodness sake lols

3. The waterproofing was fake on this phone, it failed me after I entered a pool with it :/
   Ironic considering my previous Xperia Z never had that problem when I closed all the flaps (which is what I still did in the Z2).

   But I suppose I don't need it considering it's more or less a gimmick put in place in order to garner more sales.

4. are you having a laugh the battery life on the Z2 out lives the s5 and Htc one m8 its got a bigger battery yes but its good now thats the real reason i like sony phones

11. So, the only complaint in this review is that the Z2 doesn't pack any gimmicky features, but instead focuses on the things that matter, like performance, camera and battery life. Since when is this a bad thing?

12. You didn't mentioned the Waterproof feature, and the dedicated camera button. The rest review was really good 

13. I really like the Z2 but as i have seen some issues about it like the cracking screen and other stuff so I dont know if I will take my chances

18. I use an Xperia Z1s and it's very good.  I love swimming with it, using it in the water, and taking videos and pictures of family diving and having a great time.  People usually look at me funny:-)

19. It has expandable memory up to 128gig so how is memory a problem. Sounds like you lot just aren't Sony fans.

    I still prefer the glass sides to my Z but I'll get this phone next. Love Sony

20. You're mentioning the fact that 4k filming takes up a lot of space… WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?! That's just like drinking 10 beers and complaining about getting drunk.

21. Look at the bottom of the phone, there is like 3 cm of space for absolutely NOTHING! Ugliest design ever seen!

25. Best battery + real waterproofing (I don't want to worry when I want to shoot a movie and it's raining) + premium materials + noise cancellation on the phone without chunky speakers.. and no wow factor? come on I don't have yet only because I need to wait for swisscom to offer it

28. I don't get it. Everybody complains about gimmick features being dumb and useless. Yet, when Sony comes out with a phone that focuses on all-around quality and no gimmicky features, they get marked off for it.

29. The new Xperia screen display has improved somewhat better from the disappointing display screen quality of the same previous model. STILL, IT lacks the brightness and vividness of other Android devices, e.g. LG, GS or HTC. On 2 year standard contract, the BATTERY LIFE CAPACITY will definitely deteriorate & the sealed uni-body is not ideal for swapping out old battery for a new one. Hence, even though of its premium built, I would go with the one with better usability.

30. What I miss in this review is a mention of it being waterproof. Not just water-resistant like the S5, but real submerge-it-in-1.5 m-of-water waterproof.

    Also the dedicated camera button is a plus in most users book. Especially for those who are into selfies, but the rest of us as well. The magnetic charging thingie is also nice as it makes the phone possible to charge without having to open a tiny flap like you do everytime your S5 needs some juice.

31. bad review, I can think of many wow factors this phone has when comparing it to any of its rivals… water proof, noise cancelling technology, charging stand out of box (no need to open covers to charge) just to name a few… a very one minded review when really he should be thinking about 'why could this be amazing for some people'

35. Forgot to mention the front facing speakers on it as well. Though not nearly as powerful as HTC's m8 its still better then the bottom speakers on all other phones.

36. What a beautiful phone. Glass on phones look so premium and stylish except for the amount of oil that it reflects. Nexus 4 is a good example

37. I really don't have problems with it getting smudges or fingerprints. At least u know that the phone already needs cleaning than those phones dat wud give u false belief of being clean because the dirt arnt shown. At least wd ds phone, i can get it to have a quick showr wd me or bring it under a faucet for its own bath..

39. If you want elegance, fantastic camera, durability and stereo speakers –> Z2
    If you want lightweight and compact body, a lot of features, and a fingerprint scanner –> S5
    If you want nice selfies, premium build quality, and awesome front speakers –> M8.
    All 3 have amazing displays and a long battery life. The M8 has a bad camera, the S5 has bad plastic build quality, and the Z2 has no IR blaster.
    I'm not biased to a certain company nor hate the others, but I just think that Sony has nailed it with the Z2. Definitely gonna get it!

40. You guys forgot to mention the water proofing and the front stereo speaker. But great review anyway!

41. you are wrong! z2 has a better performance than s5 and m8 because it has 3gb ram! s5 and m8 only have 2gb ram

49. If there's any phone that has the wow factor it's definitely the z2..it's one sexy looking phone
