  1. I still have this deam of Massive continues with either the world in conflict or ground control-series. But since they are owned by ubisoft, and rts usually only releases on pc, and thats todays massive is a different massive than days of old that dream will never come true 🙁

  2. Loot doesn't really become unimportant… You kind of want to get loot with good rolls so its more useful gear score really doesnt matter besides being required to go to higher world tiers. Great video ?

  3. My major issue with The Division overall is the disingenuous notion of this quarantine/infection/virus whatever the case may be. There is no actual interaction with said issue, no one ever sees this chaos erupt. It was horribly represented in the first game with an empty barely alive world. It seems we don't see that progress in the sequel. It really just leaves this massive gap of opportunity to waste. Now, I'm not suggesting another Zombies shooter, but something along the lines sure would help make the game feel less mundane. Perhaps more realistic survival elements from the first game; Hunting for food/hunger, severe weather condition, Sleep deprivation, etc. The game seems to not add to what was initially promised back in 2016. The story is revolting, combat is more or less the same. Really, it just isn't impressive enough to warrant a purchase for me. This is definitely one of those titles I'll pick up on a discount. But as of now, it simply it's not for me.

  4. Good review, thanks for the hard work.
Would you be interested in doing a release review for Mordhau? Sure it's not an FPS (unless you go archer, in which case PANSY) but it is first person violent fun, seems to have been polished a lot since alpha. Feels kind of like Chivalry with some Dark Messiah thrown in the mix.

  5. I mean if I could run it solo without it being a pain in the ass maybe… Only borderlands has been that kind of multiplayer looter shooter I have been able to do that with.

  6. I honestly really like the combat in this game. I think the reason the special/tougher enemies are more bullet spongey is to encourage/reward players for finding and targeting their weak spots. Heavy machine gun enemies seem almost impossible to kill until you find out you can shoot their ammo belt to force them to reload, for example. Grenadier enemies have a bag of grenades that you can shoot.

  7. The gear score in here sounds worse than Final Fantasy XIV's i-Level, or armor/inventory level, which is the same system. In XIV, I always thought i-level requirements were ridiculously high and greedy. I understand that its a system made to make sure you were rightfully equipped and ready for the next big battle, but it dually forces you into a grind especially if you're only a couple levels lower, and that kinds kills the fun, especially if your character's level meets the requirement. From your remarks about the gear score, I get the same impression, but much worse. I mean, meeting a higher score but… you sacrifice your boosted stats?

Other than that, good review. I'm looking forward to picking this up soon.

  8. Holy shit dude! More than half of your complaints are more like a lack of knowledge of the game and an understanding of why people play these games to begin with. Gear score means nothing and if u are only looking for loot to up your gear score then u have no idea how to play games like this. D2 has 10x the customization and options than the first and fixed a lot of the PvE problems as well. You really sound like someone who doesn’t play these game or know why others do.

  9. "High-end loot sometimes has a lower stat number…"
If it's anything like the Division 1, that's because there's more to the loot than a damage or armor stat. Higher tiered weapons and gear will give a number of other bonuses, like increased crit damage, or faster reloads, increased damage if the target is close or far, etc. Blue weapons had one bonus, purple had two, gold had three, and "exotic" had a unique bonus and 2 normal ones. Weapons were also able to be upgraded to pump those stat numbers up, so the point of looting was to find gear that has the combination of bonuses you want, and then you can upgrade the base stats over time until it's the optimum build.

  10. "Inventory management is STILL super intuitive." – I hope that's not referencing the inventory management in Division 1 being good. Inventory management in Div1 was hot trash. It's better in Div2, but still suffers for needing to be controller friendly.

  11. Is it me, but this game is totally not made for a single player. If you try to go after something by yourself, you get chewed up. Im sorry but this game sucks. This game has serious balance issues.

  12. Gameplay looks ridiculously tedious. Cover shooters are always boring to play, as enemies never move, and they rarely take cover too, so they make for boringly easy targets. Not to mention being able to take cover while having stupidly high health so you never die, and being able to aim your next shots in 3rd person while being hidden from the enemies, just makes it worse. At least in 1st person you pop out and have to aim quickly, or remember roughly where your targets were when you pop back in. Also, long TTK just takes any satisfaction out of shooting targets.

This is an easy pass for me, and that is without taking the monetisation into account.

  13. "Luckily if you haven't got any friends to play with, because you are some kind of looser"… Is this an irony? What if I enjoy playing alone because of immersion? What is with the emphasis on playing with real life people these days…

  14. Anybody want mine for $35? I just got the Xbox bundle with this game and I can tell I’m not gonna play this
