Mordhau Review – Worthabuy?

1. Summary

   At this moment of writing the game is still not awarding xp/gold properly but it did not stop me having amazing fun killing people. I also want to correct something regarding weapons/armour being locked behind levels, it's only the weapons, I was stuck with a Longsword for 12 hours due to the xp bug, now however I have been able to level up and have a Greatsword which has longer reach and better damage.

   The game is a real breath of fresh air, it's a multiplayer only game that is huge fun even if you suck 🙂 It's so damn immersive, you really feel like you are in medieval times charging into battle, slicing off arms, legs and heads, so satisfying the combat, no rolling around the floor like a buffoon or trying to aim at glowing weak spots, it's just in your face brutality.

   Horde mode can be fun with friends but does require some work due to poor map design and pathfinding, it's a good idea and I do look forward to some proper horde mode maps. DM and TDM was ok but for me the frontline objective based games were the best, I just hope to see more game modes in them such as defend the king from Chivalry.

   It may not have the depth of Mount and blade but for me it's the best multiplayer sword game money can buy at the moment, you will laugh your arse off playing this and feel like a brute at the same time.

9. In the name of everything that's holy, the next person who develops a battle royale game needs to be beaten with a bag of oranges. I am so sick of lazy game developers forgoing the hard work of making a decent game that actually has a story or a point of some kind so that they can rush a playable murder simulator to the storefront. Is THIS what we've come to in gaming??? I remember when games had a following because they were actually fun because there was an actual point to the game outside of the combat. These battle royale games are like making Super Mario World where the whole point in the game is to stomp on the Kupa's heads… That's it… No boss to beat, no princess to rescue, no levels to beat… Nope, just waltz right into this walled-in arena, and stomp on as many Kupa's heads as you can in under the time limit. This brain dead pixel barf has got to stop.

17. I am not aggressive playing chivalry, here I learned to be aggressive, using riposte all the time now to recover the initiative.

18. People "natural good" have 4k hours in chivalry…

21. I definitely concur with the statement about how humorous this game can be. It was never something I expected from it but dear god are there some hilarious moments in there.

35. Please do another video on this, they have fixed the servers extremely quick and I can't get enough of it. Or do a live commentary on it some funny shit happens when you play this game I think it would make for some great videos.

38. Shitty Chivalry money-grab stuck in Alpha forever till ppl stopped buying it. So they made new games to re-sell the same shit. This is a Chivalry copy+paste that barely went past the Alpha stage.

40. 8:13 there aren't really "Good" weapons as they are very balanced and all have strengths and weaknesses.
