Top 10 New European Cars and Crossovers: Review of the 2020 Models




We have already covered the majority of world’s automakers and their 2020 lineups, but there still a couple of brands left that deserve our attention. Since Cupra was separated from Sociedad Española de Automóviles as an independent brand, technically it was still producing rebadged performance variants of SEATs. However, the Formentor marks the new beginning for the company being the first model.

In its natural form, the V60 is an estate wagon, but since this body style is not the most popular among the buyers lately, Volvo, like many of its competitors, is attempting to boost the appeal of the model by introducing a crossoverish trim. The rugged Cross Country has 75 mm or 3 inches higher ground.

Branded as 5-door fastback, the new all-electric Polestar 2 is aiming to compete in the same segment as Tesla Model 3. With 310 miles or range and over 400 horses of power, the EV definitely has the characteristics necessary, but it does lag behind in terms of being affordably priced.

The Polestar 1 supercar is finally arriving to the market in the second half of 2019. However, all of the 500 units scheduled for production this year have already been sold out, so you should hurry up to reserve one from the 2020 batch, because apparently these $150,000 cars are selling out like hot cakes.

2020 Skoda Kamiq is the newest addition to the Czech manufacturer crossover family that has a more youthful and modern look and is designed to attract younger generation to the brand.

2019 Koenigsegg Jesko is expected to break the 300-mph speed barrier, competing for the status of the world’s fastest car with models produced by Bugatti, Hennessey Performance and Tuatara.

After the discontinuation of the Skoda Rapid, the Czech company needed a replacement to continue competing on the compact hatchbacks market, which came in the form of the all new Scala.
