  1. I agree with you on this one Lew. I've found myself complaining a lot lately about all these damn crossover grocery-getters taking over the world and soon that's all we're gonna have to choose from is different colored, different branded loaves of bread on wheels. I was just talking about how I missed the days of quirky, outlandish, love it or hate it cars like the Prowler, the Aztek, the PT Cruiser, the DeLorean, the Chevy SSR, the Honda Insight, Cadillac Allante, and so much more! Automakers aren't taking risks like that anymore… but this thing, this is a BIG risk and for that reason, I love it!

  2. You know, i got up at 2.37 am drank a bit of cold milk, stood in front of fridge for a few seconds with the door open, the light of the fridge bath me in my plaid pjs, and I said to myself I'm okay with the design, it will be okay. Went to bed and had the best sleep of my life.

  3. When both windows broke and Elon seemed unphased, I was thinking, "oh 5h!t! He's about to unveil self healing glass!" …anyway, he said both windows broke due to the previous sledge hammer poundings to the door. But I thought he only hit one door. Idk. I'm not ruling out industrial espionage from Detroit.. …or OPEC. …or Texas. Lol

  4. Thanks for intelligent and engaging commentary. The design language is function over form and derived from basic principles. I haven't heard anyone say the flat counter is utilitarian and can be used as a table for writing and mounting suction cup devices. Styling is personal taste–who really cares what other people think?

  5. When you type, you are laying down your thoughts. So there is almost a normal disconnect between your thoughts and peoples feelings because they are generally personal to just you. But speaking is more inclusive of others, obviously, so we filter It. So people on twitter and the internet are complete shitbags because, almost unconsciously, we haven’t connected that typing those words is impactful to others because we still see them as just our thoughts. But, I feel like if they read It out loud before posting or sending, we would register It differently.

This is just what I’ve been thinking lately.

Also, no I don’t say please to my google assistant. BUT, I do sometimes say thank you.
And I’ve changed my navigation assistant to a British male voice. ??

  6. I might be crazy but the level of intelligence Elon has, I THINK he might have purposefully made the glass break on the demo. Guess what! A lot more people will be talking about it now.

  7. The reason this design was chose for this is because its so cheap to make. He had to get the price point down to that point to compete with the truck market. Flat cut stainless steel panels. Amazing. He didnt need to cut corners on the roadster.

  8. how you change your brake pads on it? people will have a hard time doing their own maintenance for little things, I would have take it to their repair people like your mac book pro brakes down, pay that "genius bar" $$$ from apple.

  9. It takes a while, but this is one of the purest pieces of design ever to hit the street. Changes everything, speed, power, manufacturing techniques, construction, materials, design language…you name it! Make way for Mr Big Balls!

  10. I can tell you why they're charging $150 to pre-order it. As I'm writing this there has been 250k pre-orders for the cyber truck that's $37,500,000 which I'm guessing they will probably use to kickstart the manufacturing of the truck.

  11. please stop with this modern art thing that makes a pile of shit into art. this car is UGLY!!! and the designers should get another job asap!!!

  12. Cars only look the way they do because of wind tunnel aerodynamics. However, Cyber truck don’t care, cyber truck don’t give a shit about no breeze.

  13. People say " when towing the range will drop"

I say Stick 2 or 3 power walls to the trailler and you can extend the range to 1000 miles or more!

Going camping, Put solar panels in the trailer and generate 50 miles per day plus your daily use of electricity while standing in the midle of nowhere. You can go "forever" like that!
That goes to Rivian, Bolinger and even the Eletric F-150 version, and is considerably safer than transporting 100 galons of diesel or gas.

  14. First episode of Lew’s personal show I’ve watched. Lew is the man, but I need to take the job of the “cohost”… probably a good dude, but he seems barely alive in this, you need to keep up with Lew bro, bring something man. Damn.
