Pros
– GPS/GLONASS system for rapid lockon and accurate outdoor satellite navigation.
– FPV range of up to 500 meters, and control range of up to 1000 meters.
– Automatic return to home and landing capability on command, loss of signal, or on low battery. If activated after using the follow me mode, the return will be to your actual position vice its takeoff point. This may come in handy for those launching from moving platforms, such as a boat.
– Optical flow sensor for stable hovering indoors or in locations with poor staellite reception.
– 1406 brushless motors.
– Two axis stabilized gimbal for steady in-flight video.
– High resolution video camera with 2592 x 1520 pixel resolution at 25 frames per second.
– SD card recording capability. Can use SD cards of up to 64GB capacity. But recommend using Class 10 or higher speed cards, or your video files may not be recorded.
– Remote controller includes a LCD screen with telemetry information to aid non-FPV line of sight flying without using the app.
– 3S 11.1V 2500mah battery provides over 20 minutes of flight time in normal flight, or up to 25 minutes in hover.
– VS GPS app provides FPV video capability, along with advanced flight modes of follow me, circle position, and waypoints.

Cons
– Requires 802.11ac WiFi to be able to use the VS GPS app for FPV and its advanced flight modes. Not everyone has a phone with this type of WiFi. Before purchasing, strongly recommend that you first verify that your phone actually has 802.11ac WiFi.
– The high resolution camera seems to have been originally intended as a security camera. As such, it has a 120 degree wide angle lens for maximum view. However, this also produces fisheye effect distortion.
– The app kept crashing when I would attempt to use the waypoints feature. However, this may be a shortcoming of my phone, or because I was also simultaneously running Mobizen screen recorder app.

  1. Sucks it has some jello though i expected at this price point it would. I don't know why these manufacturers can't dampen the gimbal better and most of all just use balanced props. The Eachine EX4, JJRC X12 is the same way.

  2. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive from BG. It shipped in November but is hung up somewhere. I was excited to try out this one because of the price. BG only had 6 available for reviewers so I was really thankful to get one.

  3. Here's the problem with these cheaper Chineses Drones. They use WiFi as that saves them the expense of placing a more sophisticated video processing and transmitting system on the birds. Also, I think Quadcopter 101 here is not using the most advanced Octa-Core processor phone that is frankly required for any decent FPV. Even with my DJI drones, I run a Galaxy S8+ phone with an Octa Core processor for very smooth video transmission and little lag.. I noticed the jello with these birds is standard. I've yet to see any jello on my DJI birds.

  4. There's a reason these Chinese are coming out with all these camera drones!! Espionage!! Since Trump has pissed off the little bastards… I'll stick with my DJI drones thank you..

  5. Hard to believe that thing's gimbal is working properly, I used to get more stable, less jello-ey footage from my good old Bugs 2! ? And as for the camera's actual lense, it has SO much distortion that it looks like it's trying to copy my Mavic's planet mode! ?
