  1. It’s like IGN is the reason DOOM ETERNAL or Ghost of Tsushima didn’t get game of the year award because of their totally not botched review of Last of us 2 and that story was weak shit

  2. Does anyone remember when a IGN reviewer did a review on SpongeBob battle for bikini bottom and gave 5/10 mediocre because it’s too kid friendly even though this is a game for kids

  3. Need I mention their review of Sonic Unleashed vs their Sonic Free Riders review? I think Sega doesn’t pay IGN, and Microsoft did. So that explains why Sega constantly gets mediocre scores.

  4. My biggest issue with ign is that they are extremely bare bones with everything they do. As an example when a massive open world game with a thousand different ways to play it comes out they will reduce the review to a single page. In other words they aren’t taking the time to examine fine detail or intricate systems within the game. Compared to other reviewers who take the time to give us an in depth analysis ign is just plain lazy.

Also if you have ever found yourself on an ign guide you know that they often leave out crucial information, which for most people makes it a waste of time. For example, i recently replayed persona 5 royal and decided to fill out the persona compendium. When i tried to fuse a persona according to ign’s guide i got totally different results. Turns out that fusion depends on a lot of different factors, so the odds of getting the same results were slim and none. ign didnt even mention those factors, they got the result one way and than they shat out this “guide” without bothering to confirm what they were saying. Thats not an isolated incident either, every time i have looked at an ign guide it is almost always incomplete or unclear.

Last, im almost positive ign accepts bribes for good reviews, for example, they gave anthem a 6.5/10, not great, but still way higher than it should have been. Also there was a period of time where they gave every CoD game a 9/10… activision sold what was essentially the exact same game 10 times in a row and ign kept giving that copy and paste bullshit a good score without ever mentioning that you were buying the exact same game you did for the past 10 years.

  5. The sad thing is y'all say IGN does terrible reviews and yet you still watch, read and pay attention to them instead of supporting critics you trust and like.

  6. ign: rainworld is a god like game and one of the best games ive ever played eh it was hard so 6.3

edit: how does ign have 15 mil subs

  7. Battlefield Hardline is like fallout 76, a shameless broken rehash that was made just for a quick buck. And yet IGN thought it was great

  8. i agree with the alien isolation review. shoulda been called save scum the game. the intro screen tells you to play hard on a first playthrough. i died a ton early game to the point it was way less scary and more annoying than anything.

also i hated how missions worked. they didnt tell you what you were doing or where you were going so often that i realized very quickly the fastest way to progress was sprint around till i find the objective die 3 times sprinting then sneak back to the objective once i found it.

or i could play the normal way and waste an hour sneaking around looking for said objective only to die anyways ?

so for me the game turned into save sprint die find objective sneak back. and at no point after the first hour was i even kinda scared just annoyed when i got caught.

its not an aweful game, not the 5 outa 10 they gave it but its not the god tier game the fanboys make it out to be. not in game play at least. the atmosphere is. like it feels just like an aliens movie. the whole atmosphere is 10 outa 10.

i regret playing it on hard mode because the devs tell you too. it certainly didnt make it more scary just more annoying. you died more and fast to the point it becomes un scary.

  9. I agree with you… But a 7.7 for Resident Evil 7 is a joke I love Resident Evil, but I hated Resident Evil 7 it was not a Resident Evil game just for that I would have given it a much lower score
I have been playing this franchise since it first came out, and I don't like first person style games much and going down that rout pissed me off then the story its more of an silent hill game than Resident Evil

  10. I'LL TELL YOU HOW WRONG IGN RATINGS ARE IN COD MOBILE THEY SAID THAT IT WAS BAD BECAUSE IT USED A TOUCH SCREEN LIKE THATS LIKE DRINKING WATER WITHOUT THE GLASS YOU CAN DRINK WATER WITH A BUCKET (THE BUCKET IS THE CONTROLLER OR KEYBOARD) BUT YOU'LL PROBABLY DRINK WITH THE GLASS SO THE GLASS IS THE TOUCHSCREEN

  11. This is basically IGN- this game is awful, a cash grab that no one cares about, don’t buy it ever. – 9.7/10
‘this game is a work of art, it has so much time put into it and I can see the effort, gameplay is crisp and smooth. And is a joy to play. -2.6/10

  12. There’s a game that I play that they reviewed and they had about a days progress before rating it a 7.8, for gods sake this company is a joke

The game is elite dangerous btw, good game would recommend.

  13. I was actually a bit confused and angry when you talked about titanfall but when you said that sequel was better I realized you was talking about titanfall 1 not titanfall 2. Which just proves how forgettable it was
