  1. still like my own make-shift gimmick: a plastic qtip stick, threaded in between the strings near the bridge. works the best with an acoustic, and it gives a weird “wobbley” kind of sound, like a cross between a dobro and a banjo when playing the guitar normally. and depending on how close to the bridge you thread the qtip, it will change the sound. you can also pluck the end of the qtip that sticks out above the low E like a thumb piano.

the only issues are these 2: it falls out somewhat easily, especially if you thread it farther away from the bridge. secondly, it does effect you intonation (obviously). still fun tho. definitely needs to be a PLASTIC qtip stick tho, cardboard ones will just mute the sound.

edit: i always thought rosin would have a smell too. it looks like it should smell like pine resin?‍♂️

  2. the orba is amazing, THE best fidgety thing to play with while in a bus for example. yoi can really get creative with it and change the sounds from your phone. yea if it ist clear i have an orba and i damn love it

  3. The aerodrums is neat concept but i'm still waiting for Table Drums®: the exact same thing as air drums but you do need to connect with something. Air drums has the problem of not having that definite limit but more importantly: no bounce back, which makes them heavy after a while. Real drums are easier to play than air drums, you don't need to stop your whole hand and then raise the stick up. You strike down until you hit something and that helps you to slow your hand, and the stick bounces back on its own.

I would very much like a pair of sticks that do the whole drumset… But i do want to actually hit something.
