  2. I like that water filter, but I would like to see a battery/solar powered UV light to kill everything else that the filter doesn't get. Also, you may want to do some more research on sparkies, there's at least 2 that I've seen in IG that create about 50x the amount of sparks that any of these do, and don't require you to wrap them with electrical tape, yourself.

  3. hahaha this bivvy make you cold. water will condescend on walls that that are touching you so you're going to be wet and cold. This team that check all those thinks should use it in field.

  4. we'd get lifed off carrying all that metalwork . outside your pack.. i wouldnt carry all that steel jeesus , not building a shack im in a tent with a stove . dollop of 1000 cal meals

  5. Just a cheap-ass infomercial thinly disguised as instruction. The "hacks" are tenderfoot -quality. And the narrator talks about survival as a "personal experience," like some faux-cool millennial rooftop ass-kiss party.

  6. Meh, if you are doing survival kit there's only few essentials you want to build your gear around.

Knife(in case of stand alone kit, just get mora, it's really good, and anything more is quite expensive for something you might not use)
Swiss knife(it has tweezers, though for urban kit multi-tool is better)
Headlamp and small led light, both should accept AAA battery.
    Survival whistle
Navigation kit (preferably suunto MC-2 since it's the best and has signal mirror built in, map of local area, waterproof notepad and couple pens)
Water purification method, like swayer mini.
Wide mouth stainless steel bottle, and if you want nesting metal cup you can use for cooking and stuff.
Fire kit (Ferro rod, lighter in protective case, storm matches and some premade kindling)
    Some paracord and metal wire.
    Ziplock bags
Bit of duct tape for patching up stuff
    Very minimal first aid kit.
    Rain poncho
Emergency blanket (emergency bivy is even better)
    Working gloves
Good medium thickness socks like merino wool socks

Emergency bar pack like SOS 3600cal pack
Additionally I would add couple sachets isotonic drinks for salts and electrolytes, some hard candy, and instant coffee or tea.

This is basically the essential emergency kit. I didn't include stuff like fishing kits, because not every place has water and in most cases having pack of food so you can quickly move to safety or your destination is much more important. Overall, fishing especially with subpar gear will most likely just be waste of energy, energy and time you could use to get actually walk to safety or your destination. There's really lot of things you might want to add, but thing is, this is for just in case, and to me realistic survival pack is not for living out in woods making camps, it's to get from A to B. If you start making survival pack that is for every situation and incident, your budget, weight and size of the pack will just go up.

  7. Yeah the backpack is good for people who don't want to have to think about what they need. It's a good ide but I'd rather buy my own stuff and the back pack is sort of stupid looking

  8. Love this kind of stuff, but cannot find anything specific for women in this area. Not interested in make up type stuff, etc. Looking for the EDC for tomboy women!
I know some of this stuff will will work, but does anyone have ideas or lead me in the right direction?

  9. If you don't have enough brain to organize a bag on your own with spending thousands of dollars in a pile of gadgets then stop right there because you're ain't got the brain to survive out there probably putting your life and your family in danger

  10. For the U=Pak survival backpack and kit, it's not the same in Amazon, the one on the video is far more better. The one on Amazon are craps. Where can i find the one on the video with all the kit annonce on it???

  11. I'm fascinated by these videos, there's not a single person who will ever use this shit, but the seriousness at which people go at it is hilarious. Also, Make sure you have prime on Amazon for next day delivery lololololol.

  12. Just my two cents, but pre-assembled packs aren't the best way to go. They may include practical survival items, but those items will be in the lower cost spectrum. That something you will really want to put your life in jeopardy to depend on. You want my recommendation, use these sites and assemble kits as a reference. Build your own. And use every product you purchase for the use it was intended. That fishing line and hook? Probably not going to do you any good if you don't know how to make a float, tie knots, or bate it. The $10 survival knife? Probably go dull after the first use or even break because it is made from Chinese low grade steel. The flash light? If you haven't changed the batteries every year it is going to be dead when you really need it. The striker and flint? Good luck lighting a fire if you are cold and wet and never used a striker before. You get my point.

And backpacks, you want something that fits your frame. A small pack will dig into your under arms. A large pack will feel like it is falling off your shoulders. And get one that has a chest strap and a waste strap. This is for both additional weight management and also your comfort. Back support is a must. A good pack with a solid frame will shift all your weight to your hips and keep it off your shoulders. I'd suggest going to a brick and mortar store location for you pack. Work with someone who knows what to get you. And if it so happens you walk out with the second most expensive pack in the store … consider it money well spent if you actually have to use it.

  13. Better put a Bible in there. Because None of this will protect you from God!
There’s only one way to survive judgment.

Praying for every human being on the planet.
