3. Honestly I think the Xperia Z2 is perhaps the best phone on the market, with only the HTC One M8 giving it any real competition. The Galaxy S5 is bland and tacky, the iPhone 5S is just… well, as overrated as every other Apple product, and the Nexus relies on being cheaper because it's simply not up to par.

4. im 49 and i have a Z1 .looked at the htc but the spec on the Z2 is far better and its water resistant quality is fantastic as my granddaughter as she has put it down the loo twice,in the sink and also i found it in the dishwasher.with regards to finger marks etc try touching any phone without getting marks on it.also if i spend a lot of money on a phone i always get a screen protector and good case.so i don't moan about fingerprints 

5. Since when is being good all around a bad thing? I don't understand reviews stating this as a negative. TR isn't the only one. A jack of all trades phone should what everyone should be aiming for, instead of doing one thing exceptionally well and being non-competitive in others (M8 premium build, 2008 camera)

Not stand out?Are u fucking kidding me?Did the SAMESUNG GS5 stands out?Same fucking phone every year,that stands out?I have One X,ive used it 2 years,and had Desire S before that.I love HTC,but man when i saw Xperia Z2 i fell in love.Sony just pooped on Samsung cheapo and u said it doesnt stand out?Dislike to this video,Jesus man u paid reviewers.

9. como siempre otra opinion pobre de gente que no es neutral, mas bien fanboys que solo hablan bien de los dispositivos de su agrado y minimizan mucho otros dispositivos que sin duda son mucho mejores claro este caso con el z2 que no solo es de gran calidad si no que tiene mucho potencial como para pasar sobre el S5, iphone htc, nexus y mas, sony realmente se preocupa por sus consumidores no lanza dispositivos con caracteristicas inutiles (como un sensor cardiaco) si no con lo mejor de su tecnologia en audio, video, imagen, pantalla, usabilidad, etc

13. absolute crap and biased review, has nothing that stands out, really guys do your home work before embarrassing yourselves as every one has said below. Dont even bother with reviews like this, go learn from clove, mobile geeks, btekt, cnet, phonearena and even stuff tv that are biased towards htc and samsung. So many better reviews and top analysis on the camera from top dsl review sites.

14. I wish Sony has bigger balls and don't care about the built-in front facing speakers.
    If anyone want to be satisfied just use NFC-enabled apt X Bluetooth headphones/set/speakers/etc. or use its NC earphones. 😉

16. you can downsample the 4k video to 1080 in a video editor and retain some of the extra detail, making it superior to 1080 on a normal TV screen.

21. Without any shadow of a doubt, regardless what reviewers say, the Z2 is going to be the phone of the year! Remember, this is Sony you are dealing with, the Company who made and sold millions of PlayStation 4 units last year, not to mention have made their name well known through their past products like their previous PlayStation consoles and music market. Sony have been around the market for years so people already know what kind of quality and expectations they demand when a Sony product is released. Yes granted Sony itself have just started getting out there on the phone market ever since the switch over from Ericsson and this is obviously understandable due to this reason, however when you look at what Sony have progressed with in their phones, you can clearly see that they are soaring high and quite quickly too. The Z2 comes packed with features and power to deliver the damand of the everyday user, the Z2 already is storming the globe as the most talked about phone before launch, the people know what is quality when they see it and what they want in such a device. A year down the line, this review will be overlooked, I've already placed a preorder for a Z2 myself because I too know when a quality product is in front of me, TechRadar, watch this comments space carefully….

22. The Sony Xperia Z2 by far is the best device of 2014 I would say. It has the premium build quality to match that of the iPhone and HTC One, it has the best camera on an android device which is almost on par with the Nokia Lumia 1020 if not a tad inferior, it doesn't have too many gimmicky features like on the S5 which makes it smoother and faster, it has class leading internals (3GB RAM), noise cancellation, front facing speakers which are nearly as good as the ones on the One m8, a display that truly stands out as one of the best anyone has ever seen and list goes on. I was a Samsung person until this came out… cant wait to upgrade from my S2 to this
