  1. I put my phone on silent at night.
I have most of my notifications turned off. I'd rather look when I have time.
I use my phone for music, calls, calendar, maybe calculator and games. When the app is needed.
I mostly use my phone when I am alone in the bathroom, or when I'm smoking.

I try to reduce the usage though. For psychological reasons and EMF

  2. Smartphones are part of us now. The day the information will be go through instantly instead of brain>finger>phone, we will say "we are machines". We already are 😏

  3. Most people don't realize that. YouTube the same way the more subscribers notifications from likes comments you have determines yourself worth that is wrong. You're self value is not based on social media likes and comments subscribers. I got too the point in life why should I give people who don't care to contact me on a regular day-to-day basis permission too look at my photos? And why places your self value in the hands of people you most more likely will never meet? It is such a shame that most of your living rooms people spend more time on their phones than the ones that live with them.

  4. Look at today's world brothers killing brother, sisters killing sisters, where did the world mess up. Soon all kids that soon will be adults will care about gang violence and there phones, look at today vs 50 years ago I can name over a million reasons why 50 years ago is a way better time to be.

  5. I'm here because my mom thinks weed is effecting my life. But in reality my mom is addicted to her smartphone scrolling the Facebook home page non-stop in her free time.. I can't even make a simple question. Whenever I'm talking to her, she doesn't even respond me back because she is looking her phone.

  6. You can never get rid of fb! You can only deactivate since businesses think they own you and in a lot of ways do! 🤔😂😂😂 to late

  7. Yes I do agree that smartphones are 100% addicting.. but the first story about the woman & her son presents smart phones as these terrible things that murder people due to lack of attention.. & even though it’s a true story, if the object was changed to something like a book, the same events would occur. I think instead of creating a fear for people, educating them on WHY they’re addicting (which this video did), would present just as much power to the statement. No hate on the Ted Talk, just trying to get my opinions out there.

  8. I don't have a smartphone.I do notice people can't freaking hold a conversation with you without f'ing with their smartphone checking social media every other minute.Welcome to digital crack people.

  9. I have an old 2007 Tracfone , No Camera or Texting , I use this only as a Phone . I have Modern

Phones some quite expensive I never buy a Sim for these or use them much . I do the Internet on a

2011 core i5 Laptop and when I leave on a bike , on foot or in an older car I am not visible to be

tracked by Apple or Google . I Hate Smart Phones .

  10. I’m ashamed of how dependent I’ve become with the iPhone. I use to try to get my family to not use it so much and stopped social media altogether. Haven’t been on Facebook in over a year. But more and more I’m on my phone. With music and videos on YouTube and I’ve noticed how dependent I was when my phone screen broke and the stores were closed and I had to go only a day and a half with out internet or phone at all and I saw how dependent I was. I went to bed and woke up and went to get a new phone. The motivation I had was as if I was on drugs. I have to do something else ASAP

  11. Although the advantages of smart phones are numerous, it is important to recognize that they have many disadvantages and have a significant impact on many modern diseases and brain structure changes.

  12. We had our flip phone 25 years! Knew what was coming and refused to upgrade! Two phones with two different phone numbers with Verizon for $53.00 per month, 700 shared minutes, unlimited text, that is all we need, or want to use. Friends call us on the land line, or come visit, or forgetaboutit, we forgive you and we will outlive you!! 🙂
