  1. His analysis was very revealing "Oh you plan new smash; dont you know melle is better", or "oh you still play melle, your stuck in the past"… Notice 'stuck in the past' has nothing at-all todo with a games quality…. Melle forever baby!

  2. Kinda random but any of you car guys that know Koenigsegg think Armada is like Christen? Every time I see them do interviews they talk very similarly and are follow similar principles in their work. Great minds think a like, and let’s face it Adams probably gonna go bald like Christen by his age lol

  3. It's cool and all that ESPN is covering eSports, let alone melee in particular, but I'm not subscribing to a channel that uploads 10+ videos a day which are completely irrelevant to the content I'm interested in. Unless you happen to also follow a mainstream sport, subscribing to espn for melee content makes no sense. Especially considering that every top player has their own channel where they will be talking about the same topics unmitigated by censors and politics.

    Make an Esports specific channel.

  4. Armada is forced into a corner and in a round about way says what Plup could of done as if Armada has any idea what was going on with Plup outside the game. Still, I blame the interviewer.

  5. Some people prefer interviews like this but I find the transition between Armada's answer and the next question very awkward. I think theres a way to be both professional but also a bit more engaging.

  6. This was a good interview, for me at least. It must be odd being interviewed by someone who is not known inside the melee scene. If I was Adam I would have been super skeptic when asked specific questions about the game, match ups, etc. He did great though. Not only a great melee player but also a great interviewee.

  7. I just wanna say thank you to ESPN for allowing Smash to be a topic within their community for the past couple years. I remember I use to watch Sportcenter all the time as a child and loved seeing how good the athletes were. When I heard that ESPN was showing interest in this game it made me really excited and I think it's awesome that it's getting the attention it deserves <3

  8. why is it that everytime they talk about melee evo winners, they just ignore Ken 😀 yeah it was a different era, and he is not "good" anymore, but he did win.

I am not even a Ken fan or was around back then, I just notice it a lot lately in interviews

  9. the problem with this interviewer is not his demeanor or awkwardness it's that he clearly has preplanned questions and asks them no matter how the interview has been going or what the interviewee has just said, totally disrupts the flow of the convo and sometimes he asks questions that basically have already been answered beforehand because that's what he's prepped

  10. Leffen winning was definitely amazing and he deserves all the attention he's getting, but let's not forget about Armada's run. He's never been knocked into loser's so early before, and he really ground it out. The man has grit.
