I think I know what happened to Blade & Sorcery. I suspect Facebook got to them somehow and they actually downgraded the game so that it would run on Quest 2. I noticed the game also looks visually worse, the player's hand textures look much worse, lighting looks worse, etc.
if boneworks fixed up the melee system and patched a bit of jank, i truly think it could be the best vr game
no h3vr?
The weightlessness in blades and sorcery can be due to certain mods if you have them installed, i saw in the video that you had some weapons that aren't in the base game and those can cause some issue with physics, in the base game the movement feels really clean and while there are some less than smooth moments, overall it ive enjoyed it
I heard boneworks is coming to quest 2
for blade & sorcery you just need the right configurement of mods, like death animations so when they die they writhe in agony for a second instead of flop, piercing arrows so u can stab with arrows, butter stabs for smoother stabbing, better decaps for cooler disfigurement, and better blood for realistic bleeding and wounds. It makes the experience much better, stealth kills are so great in this game as well.
I feel like your giving too much attention to all the minimalistic things in blade and sorcery and you don’t credit often that you find it ok that it is still early access. I feel like when you went over hellsplit you heavily compared the early access game without reassuring that blade and sorcery has much more potential
Wow, spectacularly produced video. The arrow bit was hilarious. What I love about your videos is that you have a GREAT flavor of analysis for game designers/ devs. Most analysis videos feel very undirected or like they are only made for the algorithm, but you have a beautiful balance here.
Curious on why Killing Floor VR would be skipped?
your issues in blade and sorcery come from the fact that you’re playing the nomad version of the game.
In bone works when you push on desks and tables the reason why you crouch is to help you climb and get up on to ledges or what ever you’re trying to get on top of
Forgot about Vertigo: remastered
I hope a game that takes best from all worlds will come out.
I love in Alyx, there are liquid physics in the beer/alcohol drinks. Loved throwing them at walls lol
That cactus kinda sus
I'm disappointed about no Into the Radius
yeah hit me right off the bat with the Triage at Dawn why don't you
one handed weapons is total deal breaker, I bought it on sale as it isn't on sale often with the intention of being able to play when I upgrade pc but I don't think I'll bother now
non-bianary = mental case
Some half life hidden details: -some beer bottle have realistic fluid inside -props with items inside like pills when rattled can make noises -when you meet Larry and he warns you about the spores alyxs voice line can change if you have your mouth covered -like the spores detail above if you wear a gas mask it will protect you -you can wear protective gear like pots buckets and cones
The climbing in blade and sorcery really is bad sometimes. You can get your hands stuck, or end up falling. The fact that you have to jump instead of pulling yourself up is annoying.
The Omnis in BW has to be some of the worst ranged enemies in any VR shooter… They feel like aimbots and sometimes can just be annoying to fight.
Que the uncontrollable laughter when he attempted to jab the girl with the arrow hahahah
Out of every vr game, bone works was the most Immersive because of the setting, a futuristic meta verse. I don’t know why, but the jank just works for me
Valve is that one youtuber that takes 4 months to upload but when they do it’s one of the best videos you’ll see
i spent a uncomfortably long amount of time watching you try to stab an arrow into her face… im dead
I got HLA and S&S for free via a gift card and barely played them. Need to jump back into HLA as I'm about 30% into that and it was amazing. Now I have a 3080 so it should run like butter. Great video. Can't wait to see VR in a few more years.
VR physics, make a VR game.
But too much and you end up with Boneworks, which goes overboard, too clunky, you have no control over your legs and I have found countless times that my feet are stuck in the world.
Couldnt even finish the game as I found it more frustrating than fun. Gunplay is solid though.
You are bang on about Blade & Scorcery, it certainly feels like it has gone backwards in some aspects, still so fun to play, dungeons are great, i cant wait to see how it progresses.
Hahaha the arrow stabbing was pure gold!
That arrow scene was hilarious
You have the same critiques as me

Another game to check out is Into the Radius
14:45 that was incredibly random dude
Working on 3d physics UI in VR for my PhD.. very hard
