  1. Why would you name your video "The Last VR Game Youll Ever Play" and spend the whole video talking about a hypothetical different game you wish you were playing instead?

  2. Not gonna lie the cooking is the best part of zenith. I really hope they make more craft jobs and a better player market of some sort.

  3. its a really amazing game. sadly for me. non of my friends play it. and alot of people i see are muted i ended up getting my support mage to 35 alone, tank subclass to 13 and swordmaster tank to 12 alone. still very enjoyable i sit down in some maps ejoy the view the sounds cook relax is really nice. i just havent had that group enjoyment cuz ppl are just muted and even deafen the players

  4. Zenith will most likely be hitting desktop platforms too as confirmed by the developers, Wich is good.
Good because unlike thrill here, most VR players don't WANT to grind in VR.
Wether it's due to the heat/sweat, motion sickness, battery life, etc. Having a VR grindy game isn't a good idea.
Fun fact, most people don't even know there's a school level in walking dead saints and sinners.
I mean hell, 12% of players even visited all of the map as shown in steams global achievements.
Goes to show even with good game play mechanics, grindy games just isn't for VR.
That's not to say Fitness games don't have a spot on the market ofc, given beat Saber, but you don't grind anything in it.

Also btw, Shards are good now but they did not begin good, in fact they're good now because the uproar that happened in the beginning.

  5. So for me zenith is a starting point. I am hoping that zenith shows investors that there's money to be made in the vr gaming industry.

There're no true "AAA" games for vr. All of the games are either proof of concept games or they're extremely small and low graphics due to hardware constraints.

For me what I want in an vr mmorpg is total immersion, but the only way for that to happen is through realistic graphics we're only able to see on modern day computers.

See here's what my brain wants from a vr headset. I want a vr headset that acts like a monitor, a headset, a speaker, and a motion sensor. That's it. I don't want any processors in that headset. I don't want any graphics cards either. I just want a glorified monitor with built in headphones and motion tracking to sit on my face and stream the screen from my computer to my headset, while letting me use hand tracking.

Now imagine that headset streaming a pc game on max graphics. Skyrim ultra hd remastered with raytracing in vr. It'd work with this theoretical vr headset because the headset itself isn't doing the processing of the graphics, it's simply receiving a stream from the computer it's connected to.

Vr doesn't need to be portable. It needs to be functional and wireless with perfected hand tracking for total immersion.

Imagine being able to play an mmorpg in vr without needing any controllers. Instead you can simply use your hands to interact with the world around you. Then combine that way great graphics…. I can only dream for now.

  6. I've bought this game but I've been having some issues trying to install it, it would say something along the lines of install failed but when I go to retry it I'm unable to due so

  7. Zenith is a cool idea. but it feels so poorly executed (yes its just released but still).
Go mage: pew pew fire ball pew
Go anything else: swing… wait….swing….wait….Power swing….Wait I get that the stopping you from spam swinging is a thing but like, it makes it so boring. and even then combat devolved real quick into.
Stand Still – Hit Enemy – Eat food – move to next enemy. You don't need to move, or dodge or do anything. just hit the enemy enough. Reminds me of WoW early combat system where you just clicked enemy and pressed buttons. but instead you just stand and swing/press trigger.

Got the game, got very far into it, stopped playing when it was the same cookiecutter stuff over and over.
Recommend it as an experience yes.
Recommend it as a game you'll want to play alot? no.

  8. The methodology you're describing is exactly what they're shooting for in Star Citizen, has a player driven economy at the end, with no stats outside of reputation with NPCs, health and hydration/hunger. The rest of the game is based on how good you, the player get at it.

    Try it out.

  9. Me, making an mmorpg demo: WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN! But seriously, the ideas are great and one thing I’ve always wanted to do in vr is have an experience that feels so real that it becomes your life (obviously right now there are limitations to that such as you can’t go to the bathroom or eat in vr) and something that you wouldn’t be able to do in real life (spell casting and such) and make you an entirely different you. Zenith (imo) is on the right track, but I do agree that it could improve and I’m really excited to see how it inspires other people making mmorpg’s to make them better. Also, COOKING IN VR BIG YES

  10. can someone please help me, i accidentally clicked "Dont show this again" on the file notification after i plugged in my vr cable to my pc and now i cant get into pcvr. someone please help me!!!

  12. Hey mate, I love the video. It was very well thought out and your points about what a vr game could be were spot on. The only point I would like to make is that Zenith isn't even at full release yet. It is still early access.

It doesn't change the message of your video. But it is an important piece of information.
