  1. IMO Serenoa is bland because he is an avatar. His personality is chosen by the responses you choose in the conversations where you pick one of three. If he is too flamboyant, then the choice may not fit his persona.

  2. Nope. this game is not for me. 32 yrs old with kids. im tired of games with heavy story and cutscenes. just wanna sit down and play right away.

  3. IGN need to get professional voice over people. The review isn’t bad but the voiceover is so droning and dull. It’s the voice of that work colleague telling you about their lame weekend when you cannot escape.

  4. Could not stand this review. Hearing this dude try to talk in a higher pitched voice was off putting to say the least, and after viewing his twitter, it's clear he is very unstable, angry, and confused. Should not be writing reviews for a big site. But he is writing for ign, so it makes sense. He actually complained that these characters were boring because they weren't "flamboyant." Seriously!? Great cast of characters in this game, don't listen to this guy.

  5. This game is way too reliant on cutscenes to tell it's story, maybe JRPG fans are used to this but when you are like 1 hour looking at the screen just watching sprites talk you just think that the whole SNES aesthethic is gorgeous and it's awesome it's getting revived, but you can't tell a story the same way you did 30 years ago, it's really antiquated.

  6. The English voice acting is awful and it’s obvious the voice actors were given a list of lines to recite without context. Highly recommend using the Japanese voiceovers.

  7. I’ve heard the voice acting is atrocious and that it’s best to just turn it off, can anyone vouch for that?

  8. Slowly is an understatement, you fight twice in nearly two hours in the intro. Also the damn game keeps crashing on me for some damn reason.

  9. Oof. Hard disagree on the quality of the characters and storytelling. A lot of other games (FE3H) had characters that felt like one-note anime tropes or blatant sexual fan-service. Not necessarily bad, but these characters are more nuanced and fleshed out. A breath of fresh air for me.

Also, anyone who thinks FFTactics plays the same as Fire Emblem probably shouldn’t be reviewing Tactics games… (4:30)

  10. This reviewer sounds dumb with his constant comparing to games NOT even in the same genre. And the constant comparing that everyone makes to GOT JUST BECAUSE it's historical fantasy and not urban with a lot of magic etc. Please stop IGN. It don't even matter that they gave it an 8 (not like they can do anything else, They are 8gner) but they should start getting people who actually the specific genres. It's CLEAR this guy still expected something like Three Houses and Persona where everyone is colorful and you can make relationships.
