2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Trailhawk – King of Mid-Size 4×4 SUV?




The new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee was launched as a 3-row model a year ago, and now it arrives as a 5 seater. The model offers 7 trim levels, including the 2-row exclusive off-road Trailhawk. The latter gets 3 engine choices, Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system, and a standard Quadra-Lift Air Suspension.

  1. Prices are much higher than just four years ago. My dad's '18 Trailhawk started at $43,295. This new one is $54,630; it went up $3,000 from just three months ago!. New platform, more refined, but practically, there's not a lot of difference in features. And the drivetrain is carry-over! Add the V8 and lux group and you're well over $60K for TH.

    Plus, in '18 they didn't charge for paint ($400 now), and destination charge, obviously a profit center is, $1800 now, ($1100 in '18).

    Unreasonable gouging for what cannot be described as Toyota levels of quality. No thanks.
