  1. As much as I love this game and this mod, there are a few things that bug me about it. For one, the player model teacups the pistol grip with his offhand when you perform a two-handed hold, which is incorrect form for recoil control. Considering this is supposed to be a highly trained operative, that seems like a bit of an oversight. Second, I feel like they need to implement ragdoll physics on the AI as soon as a lethal shot is dealt, because that same animation where their legs fly up as they fall backwards is a bit repetitive, and the fact that their head doesn't react in a realistic manner when receiving a headshot feels less immersive, let alone the fact there are only like 2 or 3 character models for those AI. With that being said, the environment, textures, and overall concept/gameplay are pretty spectacular, and are definitely upper echelon when it comes to VRFPS's, so those gripes are minuscule compared to the things that are done very right.

  2. I had NO IDEA Half Life ALYX had mods… let alone steam workshop support… I just played this and the first mission and it's SO MUCH FUN! And now I'm filling my VR PCs HDD with a BUNCH of other HLA mods 🙂

  3. My problem is the title of your video, which you then let on is meaningless as you say “it doesn’t get better than this, right now.”

When you say peaked, whether you mean plateaued, hit their prime, etc. it’s all the same. And it is false. They will obviously get better.

A better title would be to say they are hitting their stride. Or becoming what we all envisioned, etc…

  4. oh, it does get better. boneworks
in this, it is cool especially for a mod etc but issues
bad design, enemies everywhere, demands a slow peek everywhere approach which isnt too bad but doesnt fit the ai and I dont think is a fun approach to action
    ai is eh
people are eh (voices, animations, their locomotion, physics, ragdolls etc)
nothing innovative like locomotion, gore, realistic guns (sounds, kickback, damage + to environment, etc), interactions like good doors, or very immersive environments like simulated water
    no checkpoints. long bore.
apart from engaging gunfights there isnt anything else

Yup, VR gaming is on another level. If he were playing flatscreen, he'd be sitting down and moving his right arm SLIGHTLY as he uses the mouse, with his left hand remaining steadfast on the left side of his keyboard for WASD to move, R to reload, SHIFT to sprint, etc. With VR, for one you're on your feet and personally I don't touch the right thumb-stick so if I have to turn around or go around a corner, I'm turning IRL. Whipping your arms about as you aim, swinging your arms as you reload, and with Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners you're performing stabbing/swinging motions quite frequently for melee attacks.

I love it, it's awesome. Flatscreen gaming is pretty much dead to me, I have no desire to play it and don't really miss it. When I game, I work up a sweat.

  6. I sooo want a bhaptic x40.
But splashing out 500 (more like 700 with shipping) No. Simply not feasable.
My dear cat is all the haptic feedback i can afford right now.

  7. Mike I love everything you are doing!! But how come you haven’t been uploading a lot but when a lot has been happening in the vr industry like nock and the new demeo and pop 1 updates. Again no disrespect I am just generally curious
