Founded in 1890, Borgward was standing at the roots of German automaking and was among the most popular premium brands in the middle of the twentieth century. Following controversial insolvency proceeding this brand had ceased operations for a long 54 years period until being resurrected with the funds provided by the Chinese truck manufacturer Foton. Today, the designing and marketing divisions of the company are headquartered in Stuttgart, while production is taking place in China. #1 Borgward BX7 and BX7 TS

The Borgward BX7 is the first production model by Borgward that broke cover at the Frankfurt Autoshow in 2015 as a rival to other German mid-size SUVs, the likes of Audi Q5, BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE. The exterior is rather sporty attracting buyers with a massive grille.

#2 2019 Borgward BX6

Premiered for the 2019 model year, Borgward BX6 is the company’s first coupe-crossover, s based on the BX5 SUV as well as the 2016 concept of the same name.

#3 2017 Borgward Isabella

The original Isabella was the most popular model of Borgward, and it remained in production until the company’s demise in 1961. No wonder that the revived brand decided to play the nostalgia card and applied the legendary moniker to its 2017 ultra-futuristic 4-door coupe concept.

Borgward BX5 compact crossover started production in China back in 2016, and since then, it has already expanded sales around the world.

Based on the BX7 compact crossover, the all-electric Borgward BXi7 is already on sale in China, but rumors suggest that it might arrive to Europe and the US in 2021.

    The BX6 snd BX7 might also do well, However the Front Grills on the BX6 and BXI7 are very UGLY!!!… They should change those Dot Grills for the more traditional vertical line grills.

  3. German design and technologie, Nice cars! Save cars too, 5 stars. Good quality, drives very well, by own experience, the BX7 as well as BX5.

  4. It’ll become a competitor to other chines brands but unless they cut all ties with China no one is going to idolise them sadly
