  1. I own a fitbit. Love google products, literally have Google / pixel everything. I predicted in 2019 that google would buy fitbit to compete with Apple. Been waiting for this day for a long time.

  2. It still makes me so sad that Fitbit (and now Google) did nothing with the Pebble acquisition. Pebble always was the best daily driver smartwatch, lasted forever, tracked your heartrate, allowed voice dictation, had buttons that are actually useful and no reliance on a touchscreen. You have a phone, you don't need another computer on your wrist

  3. The bezel and small battery is the killer for me. And I'm a self proclaimed Google fan boy. I think it was just a misstep. Unless it can get a full charge during the length of let's say…a shower. Then maybe the battery isn't that big of an issue but I think I'm going to have to wait till gen 2

  4. Not exactly worth the wait but definitely a good start so it can improve in the next generations. I'll probably pick one up if it goes on sale or if not then definitely will wait for the 2nd gen for improvements since this one is just a smart watch with basic features. Not worth $400.

  5. Refusing to buy because I've been using google fit more than years before Google even bought Fitbit. I can't migrate my 4-5+ year data over so why would I start again.

  6. For the life of me, I don't understand why people are giving this device such a hard time. I don't understand why bezels are even a big deal.

  7. I think it is a nightmare for google to have google fit do tracking when they are being questioned by congress about their forced trackers. So they have Fitbit handle tracking while they provide basic wear os software and hardware

  8. Google needs to get it together. This watch is seriously Tee-ball vs the Yankees in comparison to Garmin, Apple and even fitbit… Their own company!

  9. I hate having to pay a subscription to be able to use a device that I paid hundreds of dollars for. That's the reason I've always been more inclined to go Garmin and looks like the Pixel watch won't be convincing me to make the switch.

  10. Honestly don't understand why you wouldn't just get a versa or sense. I get 5-7 days on my versa. I have a custom watch face and get my notifications..its also cheaper than the pixel watch ?

  11. Great content. Not impressed with the pixel watch. To small, to round, can you put a glass screen protector on the face for protection or a case cover. It's looks like your wearing a bubble.

  12. As a fit bit user, this is great. I'm. It too happy with the 24hr battery life as my current fit bit smart watch thing gets at least 3 days on moderate usage.

  13. It seems to me you guys are looking for excuses not to like the new Google products… I think people are going to love the new Google pixel 7's and Google smart watch. Dond be biased be fair! Have a good one!😉

  14. I find it weird it’s using an older processor and the lack of explanation from google in terms of integration concerns me. Obviously they’re not actually trying to compete with an Apple Watch, I think that would be a bad move anyway.

  15. Here’s the thing, a smart watch no matter how smart it is, will have always at least 50% fashion aspects. And in that case this fails 100%. It looks exactly like shit.

  16. In the UK the Pixel Watch is the same price as a Galaxy Watch 3, which does all the same stuff… but the Watch 3 battery lasts 4x/5x longer.
And how you can track daily activity AND sleep activity on such a small battery life? It watch battery will die in the middle of the night, surely?
