  1. I have a 5 year old and I was searching youtube and google for any good communication device to use with my little one. I also agree that a child should not have their own device until they are older and more responsible. The school schedule changed for my guy's school day today. We were messaged but there was no way to check on my boy to see if he understood everything directly. There was a function added to the end of his day that lengthened it an hour. I was surprised to find out there's no good way to chat with a young person in this day and age. Even at 5, he knows how to type a lot of words and messages on our phones to chat with us. I think there's a market for beepers again ha ha. Seriously, a beeper type device with a keyboard might be just what kids between kindergarten and 8th grade need to keep in contact with adults and friends but also for adults to check on their kids when plans change. I'm now waiting for his bus service to drop him off but truly there's probably nothing to have been concerned about for today. A communication device for the little ones might be a great market for those who want to give their kids a way to communicate but without all the capabilities and distractions a "real" phone would provide. Maybe a simpler device that resembles an old sidekick if you remember those. Thoughts?

  2. Having a smart phone is not great for children because it is a younger age. They should learn ABC’s, knowing phonics so they can be able to learn how to read. So that they can be able to practice at home. Even adults to we mol-ding kids to be on this phones but we are not making a example’s for our kids.

  3. Watch Dr. George Carlo’s Wifi in Schools on YouTube. Schools that have gone wifi, with all the research that’s out there across the world in every country’s library of medicine, should be shut down. There’s no greater health risk that humanity faces right now. It’s worse than cigarettes in the long term. It’s destroying our microbiome, the birds, trees, and people. The really scary thing is that a lot of the research you used to see on PubMed has been scrubbed.

  4. As an 13 year old, I feel the same way as the 10th grader. Mostly my class can use their phones for school work in class and playing kahoot etc. I really don't want a phone but I got no choice :/

  5. I'm willing to bet a large sum of money if a company came up with a feature phone, that's the actual name for not smartphones, marketed to parents who don't want their kids using smart phones, it would sell like hotcakes. XD

  6. When can adolescents can put their phones down without doing class work and being at home playing with their brother and sister or just going outside. Going to library and getting a book. Communication skills without using cell phones.

  7. No kid should own tablets or phones PERIOD, NO. Once in a while and I do mean ONCE in a WHILE is ok to give them 30 minutes or an hour maybe 2 hrs in rare occasions but NO MORE. These things are ruining childhoods. My nephews don't want to play outside, they don't like going out and if they do they have to have their phones/tablets, they don't get excited about anything outside of their phones/tablets and they don't interact with anyone unless its through a tablet/phone online. This stuff is too much and parents are to blame for giving these objects to kids to baby sit them
