  1. and yes S2 screen is actually better because of that RGB matrix, that helps to produce better colors, no black clipping in the movies with dark scenes and better pixel density..I mean if you have a pentile display you actually have a half screen, that 720p display is not actually 720p…ask any screen expert if u want, they will say the same thing 🙂 but of course Note II screen is another story; Samsung did a great job with that, hands down. Try to watch a Harry Potter movie (or just a trailer)

  2. techradar how could u make that kind of big mistake about the most famous and well known smartphone in the world? :/ even my 10 year old cousin knows S2 has a Super Amoled Plus display and ''plus'' stands for RGB matrix…And also this was/is the main selling point of S2..

  3. 0:17 Galaxy S2 4.3 inch OLED? Seriously? Kidding right? 😀 well my sony mp3 player uses an OLED display; S2 has a Super Amoled Plus display and no S3 doesn't have Super Amoled+ HD; it is without + 🙂 uses pentile matrix..

  4. OMG, I meant glaze over. Graze? Ha ha ha. It makes sense you try to divert the conversation towards trivial tangents, lame. Oh you already forgot your statement about Jobs pretty much doing nothing? Please, yes pls keep it coming.

  5. Well no, actually it doesn't. I was reading about this company and it's founders as it was in it's infancy… In the 80s. I love that you think there were any 'mistakes' to graze over (assuming you meant 'graze' which would have been the correct word to use, and not glaze since we're not talking about cake and donuts). Keep 'em coming please, I could use another laugh. Iphonies are always standing by to supply them.

  6. 80's really??? Lol, that makes it even worse. I noticed you just glaze over and ignore your mistakes instead of admitting to them. It's quite sad. Why don't you just watch any video and learn… how about this one: youtube.com/watch?v=0Q-11cSNshc

  7. Research? Ha. Try living it. I've been a techie since the early 80s. You have nothing to teach me, but it is quite entertaining to see you try. Reading wikipedia bios (which can be created by anyone anonymously regardless of factual content) are supposed to count as research now?

  8. For someone who like to tell other people to do research, why don't you do some yourself? Go read a Job's bio or watch one of the many videos online. Jobs met Woz and eventually realized their hobby could be turned into a business after going to the computer club meetings. He then had to convince Woz to quit HP to start the company. And YES, Jobs did touch a soldering iron to make the first batch of 50 machines. Go educate yourself, plzzzz.

  9. I'll ignore the change in tense that you used while trying to call me dumb since that's just too easy.

Now then, jobs didn't start apple. Wozniak did, and then invited his roomate mr. jobs to join on as the marketer because Woz was a geek and therefore had a hard time interacting with investors. Jobs on the other hand was much more personable. Wozniak was the actual engineer who designed and physically built apple's first computers. Jobs never even touched a soldering iron.

  10. You know those dumb people on the internet? That's you.

If only you actually read the comments instead of letting all the estrogen do the talking.
Since you're a bit challenged I'll tell you where to read, just go up 4 replies from yours and you'll see my reply. Apple didn't invent smart phones but they did invent them as we know it today. Still blinded by ignorance? Then why don't you go and read the internal Samsung emails. Gee, why are they obsessed with Apple and the iPhone?

  11. Grrr, I can't seem to find a single comparison video of the tmobile t989 galaxy s2 which has a 4.52 inch super amoled screen. It's still a smaller resolution so there's probably not much of a difference but still I would like to see. At the tmobile store I got to see both next to each other and there was not much difference at all. Same width, the s3 was just a shred taller. Not worth an extra $60 IMO. I don't care about a higher benchmark score, they perform the same essentially.

  12. lol no they don't. search pre-iphone touchscreen or smartphone. You will find find hordes of them from samsung to lg, htc, palm and hp. Apple deserves no credit for smatphones. That's like saying Elvis deserves credit for all music. Notice I went with an artist that came to fame far after the invention of music 🙂 It's fine though, you can simply carry on not researching anything and just spouting un-founded BS if you want. It's what most i-phonies do. Fucking Koreshian cult…

  13. Copy of a copy of endless crappy phones?
Uh, no. Do you forget the Apple Newton from the 80's? Rows of icons buddy.
Apple sets the direction for the entire industry. How do they do that if they're just simply copying? Have you thought about that?
They come up with new ways of interacting and execute it brilliantly into a consumer product. Microsoft tried with the tablet pc, it failed, no one cared or followed. Apple (and Next) has been setting the direction for 30years.

  14. my HTC Desire AMOLED was Pentile
and I can tell you that I can see immediately when a screen is pentile, and I don't like that
I lived with it with the desire, but I can't see myself buying pentile again, because now I know
