  1. Wait if you play a game like call of duty and everyone knows that everyone in that game has the “killing headset” if you kill someone shouldn’t that make you a murderer in real life, they died in real life, by your hand. This is no longer a game there are now consequences, and games like mwII on this headset is basically just a meaningless war, and if your really good at the game and you don’t die you ever you still have the deaths of those people on your hands, I normally average around 30-50 kills per game, that is an insane amount of people dead by your hands in about 20mins

  2. on addition to the comment, The maker of nervegear was a criminal, and has been wanted by authority, The nervegear was His ambition to create his own World, the inventor was the villain, so i dont think its a good idea to persue this kind of project IRL specially since it is inspired by a villain, mybe that guy got SAO twisted

  3. not going to lie i like the idea of being in a virtual world / game but i dont want to die. being / liveing (temporary) in a virtual world will bring a new experience to everyone but there needs to be a define line were to stop

  4. As much as people want to say this is a joke because if this was real it would be illegal, and the only thing I have to say is you can literally walk into a store and buy a bottle of kitchen cleaner to drink on the spot for like 5 dollars no questions asked: same as with knives and hammers.
Within the realm of VR this is entirely possible to make and sell with a simple legal waiver saying any of your kin or beneficiaries cannot take legal action if used. People do it all the time when going to amusement parks or festivals with rides. So VR headset that is able to kill you if you die in game is completely viable.

  5. Sad thing i want to try it but i dont want to die ;-; like why did he need that name die like omg here is he you monster you kill my son .,. Like what the heck why did he need to take killing in .,. I dont want to die but i want to try it 🥺🫥but i…i dont want to die .,. So why the killing WHYYYYYYYYYY

  6. I haven't seen SAO, but from what I know of science fiction in general, wouldn't the point of putting Nerve Gear in the episode be a warning against making this a reality?

  7. My first thought after seeing the thumbnail and title was “what in the Sword Art Online is this?”

Maybe not soccer, but plenty of sports can be deadly, car and motorcycle racing, extreme mountain climbing (a lot of sports taken to the extreme encroach into the deadly category), BASE jumping, etc. and that’s not mentioning the real risk of potentially crippling injury from more milder sports.

I still don’t agree with building the killing VR things, but he’s right in that we have a long history of dangerous/deadly sports.

  8. This item would DEFINITELY be banned from all country’s like it’s ILLEGAL to make an item that kills you it’s above breaking THE LAW.

  9. Based on my knowledge from all my years in English I believe this is 1000000% satirical. This is based off of the anime clearly, and the key difference being that in the anime no one knows they're entering a death game when they put on the Nerve Gear while this is publicly shown. Now if it's real that's insane but it's not like it's ever going to go into mass production or anything like that at all and I think this is just a funny little joke to pay homage to the anime with the most idea virtual reality world (minus the dying in real life of course). I watched the anime and hot take, I loved it.
