1. Who remember Google G+? That was my "Instagram" back in the day. So many enthusiasts including tech related stuff such as cyanogen, indie custom ROMs, launchers etc. We often share some custom homescreen, icon pack, KWGT and many more. Marques is no exception. He usually shared some of his setups ( even though it's basic as hell lol ) HQ wallpapers he made/shot by himself. I still have his gdrive wallpaper link from like 2016 or something so I understand his passion of wallpapers. That being said, I'm NOT trying to defend him or anything. He just picked the wrong developer or whoever the hell decided to use such monetization for that app.

2. 50 dollars for wallpapers. anyone else get all nostalgic about the 2000s and phone wallpaper ads in every decent magazine where you sent an sms to jamba or whatever for a really bad 20pixel picture for your nokia or motorola?

4. Was the app actually his tho? Cuz ive got it an theres a section of “as seen on” which is stuff he uses for videos. But theres also some great artists on the app which have some good wallpapers.

8. It's crazy people are making such a big deal about this. It's a stupid wallpaper app. It's not like it's necessary. I'm not saying it's not the most idiotic thing I've seen this year, but just go to image search and call it a day. No one has to buy that and it'll go away because it's obviously stupid. Stop praying for the man's downfall over an app that's not even his main focus. You can watch his videos for free!

9. Why need a wallpaper app? I mostly get my wallpapers on the Internet or make it myself on Canva.. 🤷‍♂️☠️

17. There are 4 problems with this whole situation:
    1) Wallpapers can be easily found for free no matter the quality. So paying for a hefty premium for one sounds stupid.
    2) The app is charging money for some of the most bland wallpapers ever. For example, an empty orange background costs $12.
    3) The security on the app is an absolute joke. Because someone has already managed to hack the app and get all the wallpapers in HD for free.
    4) The share cut. Marques says that the creators of the wallpaper will get a 50% cut of the share while the other half will go to Marques himself.

19. Idc PPL are just stupid at this point u can just use free version he ain't he forcing and if u think the wallpapers are bad and too costly for expensive version just use another app omg ez why try to find drama in everything

31. I think it's actually more amazing that people are able to stretch out such simple things into 20 minute videos. Thank you for not wasting everybody's time.
