  1. I would find something like this useful if it didn’t have cameras. Ideally there’s a version that’s only the projector into your eyes with headphones. No microphone and no camera.

I’d rather not have them watch literally everything I do.

  2. need stylish strobing compound eye looking sized suction cups you can attach directly into the orbit, with small optical wave guide in the middle of each to re-project AR images directly onto the retina via a couple of small led projectors off to each side like two antennae poking out from the ears so can look like an otherworldly bug eyed alien

  3. Imagine this:
1- Put 2-3 cameras that are 360 degrees in the best seats possible for any sport.
2- Make it PPV for anyone with the glasses.
3- Enjoy as if you are actually there.

  4. But can you link a third headset to look at the other players through the camera.
The lower resolution is probably because they are transmitting video, so they can have low enough latency, also because of the larger field of view. They should have just used a cable though.
The tint is literally an LCD, like active 3d glasses.

  5. So if AR gonna be glasses with games where does that leave MR in the future? Or VR? In terms of the definitions? I mean Quest 3 is MR and Apple gave a dufus name to MR, spatial computing?

  6. We already have the "AR" glasses displays, and the waveguide glasses displays.
Several other companies have many glasses displays that just facebook oculus and snapchat (with facebook engineers).
The EMG sensor needs the machine learning model to match your specific signals.

  7. Marques, signal travels through nerves, not tendons. Most of your finger muscles are in your forearm, so your wrist band is after the brain-muscle signal. There is still signals going through though not the ones commanding the movement, but most of all, there are your tendons movements. idk which signal they measure for real but your explanation seems incorrect

  8. stuff like this always makes me sad

cause on one hand, i love tech, i love innovation, i love to see advancements like this, it makes me excited for the future

but on the other hand, i’m not trusting meta with anything related to my data or privacy in general
