  1. If Canoo focused on production, they would have taken off. They had:

    – NASA Contract valued at $147,855

    – U.S. Army Contract

    – U.S. Department of Defense Contract for supplying battery modules for analysis, demonstration, and advanced testing

    – Oklahoma State Contract for 1,000 electric vehicles, potentially worth millions, with pricing set between $35,000 to $50,000 per vehicle

    – Prime Time Shuttle Contract for 550 electric vehicles

    – Walmart Contract for 4,500 EVs, with an option for up to 5,500 more, in exchange for exercisable warrant shares totaling 20% of Canoo

    – Kingbee Rentals Contract for 9,300 light-duty vehicles

    – United States Postal Service (USPS) Contract for six right-hand drive Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle 190s, expected in Q1 2024

    – Saudi Arabia Contract with Jazeera Paints for 20 electric vehicles initially, with options for up to 180 more

    They could've been big.

  2. So one thing I WISH the Aptera could do, is tuck in its front wheels for urban driving. Here in the UK there are a lot of bridges etc which limit the width of the vehicles that can cross them. If the Aptera could tuck the front wheels forward, back or in to bring them closer to the cabin, even for short distances under low speed, it would make the biggest to how usable the car could be in the likes of the UK and other nations.

  3. The Fisker Ocean was the first and only EV I really seriously considered. Unfortunately, this class of vehicle doesn't fit my usage profile. Fisker understood that EVs can be cool, not creepy looking, and with the right mix of touch and real controls, I liked the Ocean so much better than this uncomfortable and unsporty touch-only idea from Tesla.

  4. One day, Marques will review an EV I built from scratch. Hopefully I'll document the build on my channels as well. Then maybe I'll finally understand why he always come out of the bush.

  5. You gotta remember Tesla also almost failed. In 2018, they were like a month from going bankrupt I think it was. It's very difficult to start a new car company, No matter the car. It's always been an issue ever since Ford began mass producing cars.

  6. Can someone explain the tier list to me? I assume it's clear to Americans, but it makes little sense to others…
S is above A and both S and F are coloured red, but the middle C isn't green, it's yellow. It's E who's green, which is right above the red F … 🧐

  7. Sadly, Canoo is now F tier. Makes me very sad to lose a unique design. Also, Fisker dropped to F tier even though it shipped. They didn't take chapter 7 like Canoo but chapter 11 so they might come back. This is Fisker's second and likely final try. They said they will continue to support existing cars.
