  1. Look, I'm glad that they're talking about it, but if I'm being honest I have a feeling that if I apply to release half the stuff that Google released for Android it would be multiple videos on MKBHD main channel which has more subscribers and tends to get more views. Would be nice if we could maybe see a bit of contents created there for the amazing stuff. Google's releasing AI and Android. Maybe two separate videos to get your views worth

  2. Why can't the Pixel Watch have a color e-ink screen? This would allow the watch battery to last 1+ week.. Nobody I know watches videos/YouTube vids on their watch!

  3. As a pixel user for a while now like 2-8 I am kinda ready to try another android so I could care less and in fact Google should showcase all the options for Android in my opinion

  4. Fantastic to hear how the panopticon is being upgraded and implemented deeper into day to day life as internet based services parasitise themselves into everything and are hardcoded instead of loaded personally into non network based products.

  5. I have a tinfoil hat/conspiracy theory for why Google uses Samsung devices during demos… You know how Google paid apple to use Google as the default search engine… Well what if Samsung was threatened by the pixel and how Google could favor that over its own devices, so it paid Google to do all its demos or cut some other type of deal to use Samsung devices when promoting features they colab on??? Am I crazy?

  6. Aren't like 70% the stuff they mentioned in the Android Show about Android 16 already out on the A16 QPR Beta 1? It's pretty much confirmed, at least 80% of what we saw on that show, are going to be on the latest Pixels by September

  7. I think one of the reason why its always Samsung because its almost use globally unlike the Pixel that has only less selected region.

  8. when i also saw all the blur i was worried for weaker phones / chips. but, i just feel instead of lagging they'd consume more power and i think lithium carbon came at the right time…

  9. I got my Google Pixel 7 about 2 years ago now from AT&T. Was it worth $1,000? No. The fact that I have to pay this phone off for 3 years when not much longer after that the phone was announced as a free upgrade and offered free by other carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon.

The first Pixel 7 I got from AT&T was a lemon. When I took it back to the store they said, not our problem, you need to deal with Google. I contacted Google and they wanted me to travel 50 miles to have some random store service the phone which I told them was ridiculous. I had just purchased it brand new from AT&T, why am I going to fuss with a $1,000 phone that needs to be serviced. They finally agreed to let me RMA the phone but then told me my brand new phone would be replaced with a refurbished Pixel 7. Absolutely absurd. I cannot wait to pay off this phone, drop AT&T and go back to Samsung. I will never guy another Google product again. Especially not one of their phones.

  10. Nice one by making it obvious that iOS really sucks. Android is definitely sending iOS packing in every way, shape and form. Apple really needs to take a break, proly for like 5 years so they can catch up and be in a better position to compete with the likes of Samsung, Huawei etc.

  11. I will forever pick my pixel over Samsung, every fancy Samsung I ever had as the latest and greatest still couldn't come close to the pixel experience. Always getting updates, photos always come out much better, simplicity with a mose user friendly UI. Samsung just got the money to waste on advertising and incentives to customers.

  12. Chat GPT is horrible. Gemini is even worse. On any given day I'll ask Gemini what day it is and it has no idea. It's literally dumber than a bag of rocks. I hate and I mean I absolutely hate to admit it but Microsoft Copilot is literally light years ahead of GPT and Gemini put together. I don't care for Bill Gates, dudes worse than the devil himself but Copilot is doing everything right.

  13. Regarding Google using Samsung phones at their Android event — I see this as a sign that Google wants to show support for their most important Android partner, rather than just pushing Pixel phones. It’s a move that signals collaboration, not competition. This also comes at a time when Samsung has finally moved away from Tizen on their smartwatches and is placing less emphasis on their own software. As a result, the partnership between Samsung and Google is becoming stronger, which they can use as a united front against Apple.

  14. Important: You guys have forgotten how bad gov can be against the citizens and the history of spying and making people disappear just because a politician didn't like your comment. All these tools are essential very accurate tools to find you. Keep things running local hou will have a better product experience and not worry that it will be discontinued like the Google Hub.

  15. I have seen more pixel devices now more than ever before and I used to see a bunch of samsung phones. I wish google implemented android back up in android in a way that you can choose to backup everything from the device when you are signed into your google account. For example, check boxes for each backup and restore option. Maybe even have a select all option to back everything up. When you sign into your google account, everything is restored even when you purchase a new android phone including all the settings, all the text messages, even the wallpaper and colors and the icons in the same order and the launcher that is being used. Basically a complete backup and full restore point on android and it gives you the option when you sign into your android device with your google account no matter what version of android you are using. Have android full backup and restore as an android app from the google play store in case someone wants to do it later and the back up and restore has 2 options that you can choose between mobile data and wifi and you can switch back and forth between each other. It would be like the equivalent of samsung smart switch but is compatible with any android phone from any manufacturer.

  16. I am most excited about the Linux VM that seems to be available in Android 16, like in Google Chrome. That means, when required, I can connect my android phone to a monitor and keyboard and get work done! Basically I will be carrying my laptop in my pocket. I hope this Linux VM is not just a rumour.

  17. It's all nice and good, but I didn't hear about " under the hood" things too much. I remember when they came out with ART, and (I forgot the name) the ability to replace the rom, or the ability, without rooting, to have 2 os' , if you wanted that. I like the ui new tricks, and you can do more things, but like a new car engine, with a new way of making it "under the hood" improvements is what I want to see.
