  1. Correction: Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered isn't coming to PC, as noted at the beginning of this video review. It is coming out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X. IGN regrets the error.

  2. I love the time and even more so the black flag was one of my fav with they brought more like that back with the new style they have in origins…I like the new one too I just thought the boats Nd sea made it alil more fun

  3. Eventhough I understand your points. Why on earth do you expect to get new combat design. It's based upon the same source code of 4 years ago.
It still holds the essence of the original game.
That it's way comparing a remaster to a newer game isn't fair.

  4. Genuinely the one game out there that legitimately warranted a current generation remaster for good reason, and STILL there's people whining about it being a supposed "cash-grab". There really is no pleasing some people.

  5. I literally just finished Black Flag as I'm trying to catch up on the last few years of AC games. I didn't realize Rogue was considered a main series title, although I can see why it was so overlooked. While I had fun in IV, I'm ready to move forward, and seeing as Rogue is more of the same, it just feels like a step back (or like DLC). I know that's a little ironic to say seeing as I'm installing the glitchy/meme-infested Unity.

  6. Somehow, I don't feel like this is a review made honestly. It compares the game to AC Origins which is fair up to a point, but not in the way the reviewer described. Of course its mechanics will seem dated. Because origins didn't even exist yet back then. The graphics also come second place in my opinion because even the prettiest game will be unplayable if its full of bugs or if the gameplay itself isn't great.

Again, the reviewer constantly compares this game to AC Origins which has its own flaws. I'm not a fan of the rpg elements and there are a lot of other things that I really don't like in the game. In fact, AC 2 and AC brotherhood had me wanting to finish the game. Same for black flag. But all the others? meh, I just couldn't bring myself to care.

  7. You shouldn’t compare Rogue with Origins. Why? Cause Rogue came out in 2014 and Origins came out a few months ago, so of course Origins is superior

  8. I watched so many reviews on assassins creed games origins is the first of the series I’ve ever played and was looking to buy the last ones and go through a whole journey but I guess I’ll stick to origins from what I hear

  9. When i saw this in the New games section in the xbox store i spat out my drink and instantly started to complain about Ubisoft to my friends

  10. It amazes me that ubisoft are so hit and miss…they nail it 95% with Origins but if they remade Altair story with the mechanics today…WOW that would probably outdo Origins but they decide to just "remaster" a mediocre game?
    Really?

Cmon ubisoft if you really want a Cashgrab then remaster or better yet redo the original and youll reep the benefits!
Take that back…dont just remaster but add to the story of Altair like the games of today….NOW THAT WOULD BE WORTHY OF PURCHASING AGAIN!

  11. I know I'm gonna take hate for this….but, people give too much credit to Origins, honestly and this is coming from a fan of Assassin's Creed since AC 2….it's just too boring for me, and come to think of it, my friend said the same thing, we both played it one Day One and played maybe for a week or two and it was just….too boring, it was awful, I mean it didn't feel like an Assassin's Creed game to either myself or my friend. On it's own sure, it would be a great game….but ranking it as an Assassin's Creed game, it's too boring and wayyy to different….and before anyone does hate on me, remember I respect everyone's opinion just as much as I'd look to be getting for mine.

  12. i see what people mean about ign reviews it like the person never played the assassins creed games before but has to review it the older assassins creed are so much better in story and things to do and see ruining and jumping was a bit bad in places but it is better the origins i hated the change origins has a boring story and fighting is just swing and hit this one was timing and small combo kills way better i think

  13. What I don’t understand is why they have remastered rogue of all ac games when they could have remastered ac 3 yes rogue and 3 do have there problems but both have a great storyline to to them I personally like a lot of you out there would prefer 3 remastered over this one I’m hoping ac3 will come to PS4 soon

  14. Graphics wise this looks the same the frame rate is still 30fps and it seems like it has more bugs than the original. Honestly I don't see how this is a remaster

  15. I feel like this isnt very fair, the entire time you're making reference to Assassin's Creed: Origins, a masterpiece. This game should be reviewed based on its own merits and not by what shadow it sits quietly in.

  16. I want an Assassin's Creed set in Canada, maybe during the time when the horribleness of Residential Schools was at it's peak. Or during another major point in Canada's history. EDIT: more specifically, one set in inland Canada, Rogue looks good.
