  1. I cannot forgive the shooting mechanics of Uncharted 3. It’s practically a universal rule of gaming that one shot to the head on standard grunts equals one kill. Armoured helmets may take two or three shots depending on difficulty, fine. But when you need to shoot an entire magazine in order to kill a standard grunt, when the aiming reticle is clearly over their bodies when you pull the trigger, you know something is bad. I’ve been replaying the game and, in a regular gunfight, I need to shoot the head area 2-3 times before a headshot registers. The problem is in U2 but nowhere near as egregious. Even the ND collection didn’t fix it, not even with the 60fps, but bafflingly did fix the first game’s shooting mechanics to make shootouts far fairer than they were. U4 by a country mile has the best gameplay mechanics, making shootouts more rewarding for the skilled players, compared to mostly luck to get kills in U3.

  2. Masterpiece game. The only flaw IMO is that it has a few underwhelming chapters early on. Like the one where Drake and Sully go to France and then Syria. Neither section impressed me. Neither did the one following that. Every other one however was completely mesmerizing and better than U2. 9.5/10

  3. I'm playing the remaster right now before moving to Unch4, and I'm bored to death. I hope it gets better, but a few missions in and it's the most run-of-the-mill action game you can find, WAY too scripted even for a cinematic experience, predictable, monotonous and just bland.

It looks great even today, and it's clear that the devs have put their heart and soul into creating this world and making it feel immersive and beautiful. But gameplay-wise I'm baffled how anyone considered this to be a good game.

  4. In retrospect, I feel Uncharted 3 is a bit underrated (In spite of the glowing reviews it received upon release). Fans always point to Uncharted 2 as the best in the series and I get why, as it was a big step forward for the series as a whole. Uncharted 2 is the more balanced game when it comes to plot, but when Uncharted 3 nails it, like on the boat or the plane sections, it's a goddamn marvel to behold and play and even six years later is STILL absolutely incredible.

  5. just played this game. the story is better than the actual .mechanics.. aiming is terrible, puzzles are easy, traversing climbing routes is too easy…

  6. uncharted deserves 10/10 as
    a series
    uncharted 1 drake fortune- 9
    uncharted 2 among thevies -10/10
    uncharted 3 drake deception – 9.5
    uncharted 4 a theif end -9.8/10
