FL1 Grand Prix Liechtenstein Drone Racing Highlights | DCL

The Drone Champions League comes home. With a new drone racing concept, a new title sponsor, an increasing number of young and international pilots and a unique track, FPV racing drones took to the wet & sunny skies for the first drone race in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, home of DCL.

2:1 was the result of a thrilling semifinal between CONRAD Racing team and NEXXBlades Racing. The other semifinal featured NEXXBR Freeflow and the pilots from FPVRacing.CH. The Swiss team secured their seats in the final in front of their “home” crowd.

Two minutes before the final the skies opened it started pouring rain, which didn’t hinder the professional & highly skilled pilots to fight for the title in Vaduz.

Heiko Schenk from Conrad Racing led the flock of drones off the starting blocks and never looked back. With only two of the eight drones surviving, Schenk dominated the big heat and brought home German racing team’s first trophy of the DCL 2017 season as they were crowned FL1 Grand Prix Liechtenstein champions!

Although rain threatened throughout the day, it did not influence the event, pilots and fans stood strong and cheered for the teams. There were no technical issues connected to the weather.
