  1. Would it be the same with Mavic Mini 1? Loved my drone and lost connection mid flight and crashed in a tree, vibration arms on the gimbal 2 have broken and i cant find anything online, apart from replacing the entire thing, but people have said i need to take it to a specialist, so they can calibrate, and remove error codes and such but canot afford to send it in, thanks in advance

  2. Thanks mate. I recently replace my Mavic Air2 Left front arm and also the gimbal. This video helps me get the camera works properly. I am aware that the error message would not go away after getting the camera to work as should. Just wondering if anyone managed to clear the errors???

  3. Fot those who have MAC: 1) install DJI Assistant 2 Application and restart your MAC. This App will install driver needed to connect to your MAC. 2) Run DJI Assistant 2 Application. 3) Your drone should be listed in the "CONNECTED DEVICES" tab. 4) Open Terminal App on you MAC and run the following command: "ls /dev/tty* | grep usb". It should return a port name. For me it was "/dev/tty.usbmodem14403". Use it as python script parameter instead of "COM5" as on video. Enjoy!

  4. I’m receiving the error codes 40003 & 40002 for a stuck gimbal and overloaded motor. however, I haven’t replaced my gimbal. i crashed it recently and had the arm replaced. would this fix my issue?

  5. Thanks for this perfect and user friendly procedure. Took me just 10 mins to calibrate the replaced gimbal cam. The errors appearing though remain there. Hoping to see solution for these errors also soon from your great self. ??

  6. Every time I try to enter the lines into the cammand prompt it gives me an error. Saying can't open file and no such file or directory. Can anyone think of what I did wrong? I followed the video step by step twice and keep getting the same results. Tia

  7. Thanks so much for your help. FYI: Camera serial number does not seem to be the issue with all "leftover" error messages. I transplanted old camera to new gimbal/camera/harness…..all but ONE error eliminated and system functions entirely as prior to crash. "Gimbal calibration error. Restart aircraft or contact DJI support if the issue persists. Code 40011" displays on each boot up. My "crash" broke gimbal supports, ripped off motor drive harness, and left camera hanging with camera body dangling by its harness…but still imaging. After extracting from top of pine tree, and shelling out 2/5's price of new drone in DJI parts, I tried transplant to see what would happen. Original camera, new harness/gimbal/camera housing.

Great video all round, saves tedious hunt and peck through endless chat rooms, forums and Apple-like DJI "support". Hardest part of task is getting all tools downloaded and properly installed/unzipped and in correct folder, without subfolders, so command strings and tools for identifying drone ID and com port work.

  8. I replaced the yaw arm on a mavic 2 pro and I tried this but the response I get is. Error no response on calibration command joint course request. And same when I request linearhall. Any suggestions? My camera points to the left of the drone and gimbal cal can not. E done.

  9. Thanks a lot . The camera works properly but I still got the error massages I hope you can come up with the solutions about these error massages. Thanks again

  10. Ayer choqué mi MA2, y hoy lo tengo funcionando. Ahora a esperar el update para solucionarlo por completo. Gracias, desde La Plata, Argentina!
Yesterday I crashed my MA2, and today I have it working. Now to wait for the update to fix it completely. Thanks, from La Plata, Argentina!

  11. WOW!!! After MONTHS of taking apart and rebuilding the new gimbal over and over… this FINALLY WORKED!! Note: I did this on a Mavic Mini, and needed to unplug and reboot the Mavic several times throughout the process. The windows 10 machine wasn't recognizing it as a COM port USB device after a few seconds. I had to remove the SD card from the Mavic, and then reboot the mavic, and would only have a few short seconds with the computer seeing it in "Com3". So we had to apply both lines of code separately. Rebooting the Mavic in between. BUT IT WORKED. I have a persistent "Gimbal Calibration Error" on my DJI app now. But the automatic calibration does successfully complete (after previously getting endlessly stuck at 10%)

I'M VERY VERY HAPPY. Thank you.

  12. Hi, I was wondering if I could use this for a magic 2 pro? Interesting video, I've never heard of this method. You might just be my last chance of fixing the drone/gimbal. Ps, I don't have any errors on the screen but I have lost the ability to switch between autofocus and manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
