  1. I'd like to know how it can possibly have higher pixel density with a lower resolution. That is only possible with smaller screens, but how can it have smaller screens with a wider fov? Something doesn't add up. Also foveated rendering will be awesome for standalone, but for pc gamers it is no big deal if you a running a powerful gpu with such low resolution screens. My 3080ti already runs all. My games at 1.5x supersampling. Need to wait for valve deckard.

  2. I've been wondering, does VR headsets still work if someone is nearsighted in one eye, and farsighted in the other? I'm like that, and depth perception is not my friend. Lol

  3. But if you're 75 next year is never a given! And I'm interested in maybe doing things I don't do now on the Quest 2 like watching a movie as the headset is just not comfortable for me to wear more than about an hour. (I have the Elite strap.). And I'm also interested in trying out AR for the first time. I am bummed that I can't use my infrared lights and play in the dark.

  4. quest pro is a joke, and devs and people like bmfvr are getting paid to say it's something good – it's ridiculous, 10% more pixels in reality, terrible battery, light leaks and nothing else to care about

  5. Based on Meta’s performance, do you really think they will support this product or will they abandon it like they did the Oculus? Paying $1500 for this or $500 for the Quest 2 with the real possibility they will pull the rug from under us again. That’s a big chance.

  6. Just from playing my Quest 2 a bit ago, I can easily tell just from this video that the Quest Pro has a noticeable graphics update! Pretty cool since YouTube doesn’t really show graphical differences that well so it must be a good upgrade if noticeable

  7. Would be interested to see/know how the Pro controllers work on the Q2. Has anyone tried that and can report back?

  8. Hey – Did you happen to notice that this headset has really (and I mean horrible) contrast ration in dark games? Take a look at Arizona Sunshine or BoneLab and got to the dark areas in these games. Then test the same areas on a Quest2 — I think someone needs to do a deep dive into this, as its not representative of 1500.00 USD price tag

  9. I mean for 500 bucks more than the valve index it better wipe my butt while playing games too.

With that being said if this is just testing technology for what the quest 3 is going to be, then it's pretty exciting

  10. TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT THE QUEST PRO IS A REPLACEMENT TO THE QUEST 2: the quest pro is like a PS4 pro and the quest 2 is like a PS4 the quest pro is not like a entire ps5

  11. Foviated rendering will get more out of the graphical power out of a headset, but I doubt it's better for battery consumption. I would think active eye tracking would take even more power than full screen high resolution.
