This game I will say it could be an awesome fun to play game but these lock picking puzzles are so difficult for me to comprehend also when collecting shotgun shells etc… it only allows me to carry 4 loaded and 4 in pocket , the overall especially cinematics that you can't skip , overall sadly I'm uninstalling today and putting breakpoint back on my console if they make changes that are needed like holding more ammo at the beginning and also a choice that we can skip those lock puzzles like the last of us 1 and 2 allow us to select in settings because not all of us are as smart and able to process and comprehend like the average intelligent human being

6. I still dont see how people can see this as good combat? I mean it is alright I guess but it lacks punch for any gun, hit animations are floaty and weird. Melee for you is good though. Powers are lack luster and clunky to use

   If you dare to relate it to bioshock, which in of itself is unfair, it takes one button to use powers there. While here you have to HOLD a button and then press another to use a power which is only slotted to two keys. Other than shock of course.

7. I've played a few hours and so far the game has its positives but is almost ruined by the absoutely terrible dialogue. It has some of the most purile, cringeworthy dialogue I've ever heard in a game. From the perpetually pissed-off protaganist, to the "wacky" side characters and overtly sexual vending machine, the dialogue is atrocious and very intrusive.

   The main character is obviously meant to be a jaded tough guy in the vein of BJ from Wolfenstein but his constant wisecracks and insults make him unlikeable at best. Barely a minute goes by without him hurling childish insults at everyone and everything he encourters. The game would be much better if the main character was a silent protaganist instead of a fully voiced dickhead.

   The game's world and characters look absoultely stunning and the core gameplay is fine but a lot of its potential is undercut by the dialogue and story. This could have been something special if the writing was outsourced to a competent team but as it is, the game just OK. Hopefully the developers can build on its foundation and create a more consistent game in their next go-around.

9. Been playing for about 5 hrs & can say the sheer ambition of the game is something to behold. A fun super intriguing game with cool combat & interesting puzzles.

10. Can't help but notice the long silent pauses after you say something that should be followed up with an audio example. But why??

11. The game looks epic. The universe is original. Looks simple enough but rewarding in terms of character development. I hope the characters aren't super annoying, but i'd play it with Russian audio, which will be a first for me.

20. They don't seem to have auto-aim. Because of this, I will most likely go the PC route, being an old fart with fingers problems when it comes to console controller aiming.

Cringe or not even if it wasn't cringe everybody's brain cells are fried from being on Twitter and they don't want to have to pay attention and listen and follow a story in a video game in 2023…. kind of expected some performance and bugs because it was coming in hot and they're unproven.. but I'd say it looks like they kind of did a great job.. it'll get patched and rough edges smooth it out..I can't wait to play this game… most of the criticism I heard is oh man they talk a lot and I have to listen to Banter and there's a story..🤣🤣. yeah that's about the criticism..lmfao… that's the biggest complaint I've seen with this game…other than some tech issues… story banter cringe dialog..lol..who cares doesn't bother me none I'm dying to play this game… just the atmosphere style and it looks fun and story looks intriguing w fun gameplay… video game journalism and Metacritic is dogshit… soon as like ACG says worth a buy I'm usually in… pretty glowing reviews Xbox era,noisy pixels, positive all around the youtube.. from what I've seen…only skill up and Matty plays trashed it, and they usually trash everything.. I don't think skill up recommended a game in 7 years besides the New Yakuza nd God of War.. thank God for YouTube and actual reviewers that align with your tastes.. always be your own judge try it for yourself!!… cuz video game journalism and all the websites that rate games are terrible… not everybody has the same taste people even though Twitter will tell you so you will like video games that other people hate and can't stand… glad to see positive reviews on this game so far…… but just in case you didn't know reviews don't matter…reviews never matter

26. I think that english translation is bad and most of western gamers are not familiar to soviet and post-soviet culture as well as soviet sci-fi books. This is where the definition of "wierd" comes from. In post-soviet space this game is hilarious. If it was made more for western consumers it guess it would be hated by the most of potential fans and buyers from tex-ussr. Also, you have chance to experiense real soviet aesthetics as seen by ex-ussr people. Western games are usually narrative to "good americans" and "bad russians, arabs, etc. you name it" meantime this game is something to experience from people who actually work outside of narratives

31. It’s crazy that games now need to hit all these markers to be seen as a good game. Graphics and great combat in a devs first major game is enough to be called good if not great (at least for their studio). So many AAA studios can’t even do that. Although it is in unreal.

42. Atomic Heart IS the game we wanted, I just feel critics don't know how to do much but over or under sale 98% of games.. I think the real problem is people make thier OWN expectations based off certain things and when that's not met under credit the game.. This games gonna be what I wanted, a fun game and atp I think I just don't watch reviews with the same faith I used too..
