PSVR on PS5 | Setup, Review & Update

I’ve been testing Sony’s PSVR headset on the PS5 and sadly it’s not the simple, next-gen experience you might hope for.

  1. awesome and all but it'd sad how difficult this is. thats no doubt why nobody has it. if it were easy to buy, setup and access everybody would be in vr.

  2. idk if he said this, but read this if you have issues playing some vr games,
you need to install the ps4 version of the game. then just launch the game and ready

  3. Only support gaming no vr movies no vr porn the 4 whas better only graphics are better but only support gaming its not good on youre nose no vr youtube support a lot of money for way less options

  4. So I bought saints and sinners ps4 psvr1 version on my ps5 of which of course I have my psvr2 and I was wondering since you know what you are talking about how do I get the ps5 psvr2 version of the game whilst it keeps telling me to buy the tourist edition upgrade (an add-on) but I don't know if it's telling me to buy the ps5 add on or the ps4 one.

  5. I just decided to go with the PS5 for my VR setup. I finally decided to go with them because of the great reputation that Sony have. I Purchased a PS5 and a separate VR Setup. I purchased a camera separately, when I finally decided on the PS5 instead of the PS4. I watched the 3 Sony installation videos and tried to set it up. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't working! The shop sent out a new one and it worked well, except not with VR. I watched your video and found out that I needed to buy a PS4 camera and then apply to Sony for an adapter! I can't buy one anywhere and because it's free from Sony, I now have to wait between 2 and 3 months for it to arrive! All I can say is that I'm happy there is a shortage of PS5's because I'm now going to sell it and go another direction. It's just a sad state of affairs that Sony couldn't make the PS5 camera compatible with VR. Unless you don't mind waiting 2 or 3 months for an adapter or you can get one thrown in with a 2nd hand VR setup, go with someone else. It's not worth the wait.

  6. I ran into the strangest issue… I'm trying to request a playstation camera adaptor on the site, but for some reason United States is not showing at all as a country to ship to? Is this happening to anyone else?

  7. The link doesnt seem to work when I entered it directly. Instead I had to google PSVR camera adaptor and do it that way. Just ordered mine

  8. i was giving my PS5 a initial update, with the PSVR hooked up to it

and first, everything was working fine through the headset

well anyway, while i was waiting for the update, i took off the headset, and sat it on the floor, while i went to get something to eat

    and when i came back

i couldn’t see anything though the headset

everything through the lenses was…. BLACK

i can’t see anything at all

so what’s the deal with that?

i turned off my PS5, unplugged it

and then plugged it back in, and turned it back on

    the PS5 is working fine

but the PSVR headset ain’t doing anything

when i push the button to turn on the headset, it lights up like it’s gonna start working

but i still can’t see anything through the lenses

so what do you think i should do?

    everything is brand new too

  9. I’m upset that upcoming PSVR2 won’t support PSVR games, because I’ve been buying tons of psvr games when they were on sale and hoping to play them on psvr2. 😢

  10. Don’t know if anyone can help but I got everything set up for the PSVR to the ps5 except the two wand controllers won’t charge? Is it because it’s not adaptable, is there a different kind of controllers I have to buy, I’m lost?

  11. Hopefully you'll get this in time I'm trying to figure out how to sync my hand controllers with the PlayStation 5 because I only have a USB C in the front of the PlayStation and those are USB B type

  12. I just got a psvr have the adapter and everything for it but my movement sticks don't work in game but will work just fine in the menus and can go back to the menu but as soon as a game loads up boom the blue light goes out and it won't recognize them in game any help would be greatly appreciated

  14. Mr. Late to Party says: So Sony could do these things, but doesn't (still)… I'm sitting here with a new PS5, deciding whether to open it or return it. I was so excited to finally see one on a shelf that I put myself into debt to get it… Was planning on selling the PS4 Pro and riding my PS4 collection since there aren't many (if any, imo) compelling reasons to even use the PS5 controller yet, but apparently some of my PSVR faves (Rush of Blood, Battlezone primarily) aren't even very playable. I can't help but to think Sony could smooth that (as well as hardware compat issues) out but callously chooses not to in order to try forcing PSVR2 sales and repurchasing the same titles again and again. Decisions…

  15. Cannot believe sony has done nothing to improve the first psvr experience on the ps5, actually made it harder with need the adapter little bit of a kick in the teeth for people who have invested in the whole lot.
