  1. the not being able to create actual virtual displays is a complete blunder by apple. for the price, it seems like you should be able to create at least 3 or 4 virtual displays from your mac to the headset, theoretically, it should be infinite, especially if it used the the mac for most of the processing. If people just wanted a bigger display, there are much cheaper, better looking displays out there that can solve that

  2. I want to see apple use Thunderbolt 5 for the next version. Move compute to the hip, use better battery tech so it's a smaller battery. Get rid of the silly eyesight. Now it's super light on the face, it's cheaper, and overall better.

  3. If there was something like gel (like doctor Scholā€™s) inserts instead of the foam thing that is used, do you think it would elucidate some of the stain from the weight when using the single loop band?

  4. Maybe in 7 years, on version 5, when the price is below $1500 with a bunch of really sick apps to use. The future is going to be interesting

  5. they really need VR Chat on it. the core players of VR Chat all either buy or wish to buy headsets with full body tracking. i've never seen such dedication to buying VR hardware anywhere else. i'm not sure how many headset sales that would actually amount to, especially at that price, but VR Chat needs a port for this headset

  6. "A fool and their money are soon parted." I'm sorry. This makes me really sad. Phones are a soul-sucking addiction already. This looks like the worst version of that timeline coming to fruition. Do the world a favor – if you have the money to buy one of these, donate it to a worthy cause. Plant some trees. Help a child in need. Go take a vacation. Hire a tutor and learn a new language. Spend it on literally anything but this soon to be e-waste fashion flop.

  7. Guys donā€™t be fools and take this fellaā€™s advice seriously . When he talks about the comfort being u can only use up to 45 mins and how the field of view is bad . Take them seriously!! I m someone who fell for marketing and got myself a PlayStation vr2 . I returned it after trying it once .

  8. Tech is there, they are not utilizing its full potential.

They need software or hardware toggle switch, to switch between 3-d spacial interface & 2-d flat interface.

People are not going to use interactive 3-d interface while moving, or doing some work like cooking or watching tv.

They just need to implement full size window/full-screen to display camera feed (like a dashcam).
& secondary movable small window as screen/tv.
That you can place anywhere on top of primary dashcam window/full-screen.

(It will become 2d, in 3d environment)

  9. Itā€™s so funny that you mention the bands, and Iā€™ll admit that an hour is the longest Iā€™ve spent inside, but I genuinely prefer the Solo Knit Band. The Dual Loop is also very comfortable, but the ease of adjustment of the Solo Knit makes it the winner for me.

  10. Imagine if you could connect your iPhone to the headset and use it as like some touchpad or mouse and keyboard. Idk why but that was what I thought while watching this.

  11. Apple has had some failed products in the past. Remember the Newton? The rendered people in those Vision Pro facetime clips look creepy. Videos I've seen of regular people walking around wearing that thing in the real world are comical. Remember the Google Glassholes? This is going to draw way more attention than that and not the good kind. It might go unnoticed on a ski slope. Watching a movie on a plane isn't going to happen if the others seated in your row need to listen to your movie from the open headphones. The reduced phereferal vision is also a big downside for folks who want to enjoy some solo time if you know what I mean. When I heard that Apple was working on an incredible new AR product, I was hoping for a pair of glasses that looked like normal glasses and would overlay virtual screens in your field of view without making you look like a dork. During my life, computers have shrunk from a room-sized bohemith to a glass slab you can put in your pocket. Here's hoping the same can happen with this technology.

  12. I mean this already applies to all vr headsets but with that amount of weight on your face while you lay down all the time, what if it starts morphing your facial structure (and make your cheekbones look more sunken) lol??? Just something to be cautious about if people are going to start using this in their daily lives. And I bet people are gonna have a hard time thinking the difference between the digital and real world even more now šŸ˜….
