KK10S Folding GPS 1080p FPV Camera Drone Flight Test Review

This long flying follow me GPS drone comes with a nice carrying case and also has circle and waypoints capability. Find it here https://goo.gl/Vv7Md6 .

Pros
– Nice travel case to take your drone with you while traveling.
– Folds up to very compact size.
– GPS/GLONASS with automatic return to home and landing on command, lost signal, or low battery. The drone does very accurate return to home landings for a beginner’s drone.
– The drone has two levels of low battery return to home to protect beginner pilots. At 20% remaining battery power, the drone will return and limit the range of flight below 15 meters. At 10% remaining battery power, the drone will land at its takeoff point.
– 1080p camera with 120 degree wide angled lens.
– Good controller that includes telemetry on its built-in LCD screen.
– FPV and advanced flight modes of circle me, follow me, and waypoints all available through VS GPS app available on Google Play here https://goo.gl/vXQ46x and iTunes here https://goo.gl/5XHKbF
– 7.4V 900mah battery easily provides over 14 minutes flight time.
– Overall a very nice small GPS drone for beginner pilots.

Cons
– Uses 802.11ac WiFi for FPV and advanced flight modes. Not everyone has 802.11ac on their phones or tablets. It’s very important to first verify if your phone has 802.11ac WiFi before considering purchase.
– The drone automatically defaults to beginner geofence of 30 meters. You’ll need to manually turn off geofencing using the controller before you can venture further.
– No SD card to record video. 1080p video is instead recorded directly to your phone via WiFi. Expect usual WiFi lag, frozen video, and frame dropping.

  1. Can anyone advise me? Have SMRC S20 which works well with the remote controller and I have FPV on the iPhone with VS GPS app. I can take photos and videos with the controls on the iPhone app. However, I can't operated the drone from the digital controls on the iPhone or start the motors from the app, how do I transfer from the remote to the app control? Thanks, Wm

  2. Does anyone have the user manual for this drone? I just purchased this drone and the user manual was missing and I cant find a PDF online anywhere? The seller has been no help at all 🙁
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

  3. Looks like a toy gps drone under 250g may be our only option in the UK, probably need a licence to fly one indoors soon !! And going beach fishing ?..

  4. I'll be posting my review is the JJRC H78G tomorrow. I had the same issues with the TBE on RTH. It worked ok the first time but the second RTH was a disaster. Did it on both flights. The drone is really flaky but when it cooperates it flies great.

  5. I bet it's not strong enough to pull a bigger camera. But add 50 bucks to it and let it have a gimbal and slightly better cam. That'd be a killer.

  6. This is almost exactly like the H78G. Carrying case and all! Only difference is the canopy design. Other than that it's the exact same drone.

  7. No SD card holder? They will have lost a lot of potential customers because of that. Other wise, a nice drone .You can get a Hubsan X4 with gps , and SD card holder for 1/2 the price of this one..$40.
