However, with the intro regarding the "cat-dad" thing Tyler said, and then Safiya's comment about "slow burn production" on videos, if I ever catch a video on your main channel that says "the internet made me do it: we became parents," I might let out a shriek.

In our household, we just cut 2 slices around the core of the mango and eat the pulp with a spoon. Those who got the core to eat would peel the skin with their teeth and eat the pulp like eating around the chicken bone.
P.S. Sorry to the Vegan readers for the last analogy but it is the closest analogy I could find.

Fresh pineapple does the same thing to me if I eat too much!
When you eat fresh pineapple try rinsing your mouth with water after you are done. That will usually minimize the irritation, if not stop it all together.
