  1. The real future for electric cars is the real car manufacturers releasing them mainstream. You know the ones that can actually make cars, and actually release new models of cars.

  2. When someone buys one of these cars from new established companies, I can't even begin to think of how these companies would support them, let alone provide any. (service locations, customer care, warranties etc.) It's unpredictable after Marques pointed these flaws out.

  3. Has this been hacked? I keep posting comments calling out a scammer who is posting comments posing a Marques and they keep getting deleted.

  4. Turns out that this building cars thing is not as easy as one might think. Hmmm… Who woulda thunk?!!!
Here is an advice: don’t give these companies your money until they have delivered units. Or at least start to deliver money. Pre-order Tesla model S, 3, X, Y. Nothing that’s not in the “sexy” lineup. The cyber truck ain’t never gonna get delivered.

  5. People should never compare investing their money into just putting it in one company. Always use SPY. It’s so childish to say that you could’ve used your money to invest in one single company. The consensus was not in Tesla 4x-ing in value. The creator of the book valuation, which is taught in school thought that Tesla was overrated in 2018 at least. Are people telling you Tesla will 4x its value from now? No. And finding that kind of company is very difficult. Let’s not spread false narratives and be better when it comes to explaining financial terms such as opportunity cost.

  6. Marques, most of this is not the companies “failing” to the deliver. It is the business plan, you generate hype, get some investors, make a few millions, and disappear, until your next scam. This happened in the dotcom era, this happened in the early 2010 with tech startups, and will happen again and again if we allow this unrestrained venture capital to continue

  7. We have been taken advantage of by predatory companies with the help of YouTube. They have probably paid YouTubers we trust to hype their companies. These companies do not intend to deliver. These are schemes to take our money. Do not be fooled by people you do not know.

  8. I don’t understand the whole selling factor of 0-100kph (0-60mph), sure it tells people you car can reach speeds really fast but when would it be practical? It’s like saying a supercar can brake in a really short distance but they’re not telling you all of the other specs that actually matter, build quality, comfort to drive, drivable distance and so on

  9. I find hybrid cars more interesting …nothing wrong with gasoline, environmentally speaking. Just need to improve efficiency and control the population 🤔 a lot of carbon emissions issues would obviously go away with fewer people on the road, and more people using mass transit.

Plug-ins only become practical when you can get a full charge in a competitive timeframe compared to filling your car's gasoline tank, which usually takes less than 3 minutes. If you could quick charge most of the battery (say 80%) within 5 minutes, I'd be very interested. But I just don't think battery technology competes with the basic triumph of the combustion engine. We're still working on it.

  10. give some props to tesla for their model 3 and y man. Dont just highlight the negatives with cybertruck and roadster.
