This looks great. Can't wait! I love VR and it's great to see how much it's growing. VR is one of the best technologies humans have created imo.
yes, normalize being cringe thank you HBO
My biggest issue with this documentary is the political bias and call of action against normal people. HBO is an oligarch anti consumer corporation that claims to be a private subscription but influences on companies like vrchat to make further restrictions.

anyone got any bets on how many avatar and world creators they aren't going to credit in this?
I don't know why I got goosebumps watching this trailer.
Will be interesting when this technology arrives in 40 or 50 years.
Be what you wanted to be, but not yourself because who wants to be themselves
VRChat is basically what you make of it. You can join a lobby of knuckles and play freeze tag while clicking your mouths like it's a horror movie. Or you can learn sign language, dance styles, or create worlds that are designed to bring people together to meet one on one, to force you to break your shell and talk to someone, which is a big deal for some people with social anxiety. Alternatively, yes you can join a world full of screaming kids. But just last night I joined a concert in the pug, and it was a fun time. Everyone was enjoying the music and it just showed me what the game used to be like, and a side I don't see as much anymore. Which can be disheartening sometimes. But that doesn't mean good experiences aren't out there, they're just an instance away. The fact that relationships or lifechanging events can happen on a whim, just by happening to run into a person in the same world out of thousands, is a big thing to a lot of people. People like myself who struggle to fit in or try to meet people. But the game and wider community provides the opportunities for those experiences, it's just up to the player to decide how to use them.
No way
Wow!!! This is going to be huge for the VRChat community. Iโve been playing this game almost daily for a year and a half. Iโve made so many amazing friends in that time, and discovered so many things about myself. Iโm excited to see this documentary.
WHAT IS THIS HAHAHAHAHA
Honestly, this documentary definitely peaks my interest. I've never really been a fan of VR worlds, given I don't know much about them to be fair. It just gives me unsettling vibes though. I feel once this technology gets advanced enough and people will want to start living in these "worlds" more than in reality, what would society be then? Also leaving all this in the hands of companies and CEO's such as Mark Zuckerberg is just giving me the creeps. All that data that could be collected with people living their lives in the Meta Verse and others "worlds"…
it's giving "reinvent themselves at their new High School." movie plot. In reality many of these folks can't confront the failures in their real life and make a new life in VR. Not necessarily a bad thing but it's a falsehood masked as their "true" selves.
"Teaching sing language in VR chat" a platform that used VOICE and very few worlds have texting, also you need the expensive VR helmet to move your arms in game …
