8. Governments should close down Online Shopping. People who do online shopping should hang their heads in shame. It’s the most destructive way to shop. 3 billion trees a year are felled and pulped just to make 240,000 tons of cardboard boxes just for online shopping sites. Plus, thousands of tons of excessive plastic packaging that can’t be recycled and last’s for hundreds of years. Amazon is the worst for the rubbish it produces. Some landfill sites are so full of amazon rubbish they refer to the landfill sites as the Amazon Jungle. Some Online sites are full of criminals who prey on the gullible by selling reject items such as printers, laptops, TVs, tablets, etc etc, and selling them at full retail price. Police worldwide are losing the battle against drug dealers who use online shopping to get drugs into small towns. These are just a few of the negative things about online shopping. There’s plenty more.
