  1. +when apple do have to move to usb-c in the EU, they wouldn’t make any more money off Lightning so they do what they do and see if they can make their money in other ways 😀

  2. Nice. I don't get how placing your phone down in physical contact with another device is more convenient than a magnetic port with a cable (which would enable quick/easy attachment and actually using the device in a more flexible manner) thought. Apple had that tech with their mac book line which I hope is iterated on in future. Getting rid of ports on phones is a travesty for open design, including the 3.5mm jack.

  3. Cant wait to put my Android that has 60w charging wired on a overpriced 15 w "wireless" charger that you have to put your phone down to use

  4. Its quite sad that people are suprised that apple is sharing something instead of making it exclusive and hiding it behind their stupid "environment"

  5. Watch Apple not use it on their future phones for whatever cursed convoluted money monopoly control reason. Like how they heavily contributed millions to developing USB-C then procastinated adding it to their phones so long even the governments got annoyed

  6. There have been MagSafe cases for Samsung Phones since at least the Samsung S20, I know because I had one, as well as a MagSafe case for my current S22

  7. Idk. I haven’t used MagSafe yet so maybe I am just unaware how it works exactly but what I personally love the most about wireless charging is how frictionless it normally works. With the magnet the charger will stick to the phone again and it won’t be just lifting up the phone from the charging pad anymore but extra care will be needed to take off the charger as well. I don’t want that. It adds “friction” to the process. So I am honestly not looking forward to this at all. It’s just cables with extra steps.

  8. Why are we using (for the moment) inefficient wireless charges while Magnetic cables exist? If its build into the phone it has the "no port" that wireless people love while still having the speed and efficiency of the good old cable. As long as wireless charges still restrict the phone near a power outlet cables are superior

  9. I have those basic Amazon magnet charger adapters for my devices. It's essentially for how often I need to connect to stay charged while using the phone for work. I don't Qi would charge fast enough for constant screen on & GPS tracking work app blazing away.

  10. The whinny Apple haters will probably cry when they will finally be able to be told for the first time in history “Apple been had MagSafe, android is so behind” 😂

  11. Imagine being so offended by being told you have to actually improve your cable to USB-C that you help your competitors do away with cables entirely. I respect the pettiness, but I still hate the idea of the whole world charging their phones less efficiently.

  12. Is there any potential harm effect in the long run with wireless charging? For example will it cause battery to deteriorate faster? Will it cause phone to be hotter than usual?

  13. There’s the third option. Apple makes billions in licensing with the Lightning port, that’ll start to dwindle off from the iPhone 15. If Apple can sell license out MagSafe not just to iPhones but Android as well, they shouldn’t notice the drop in $$$.

  14. I have recently been following a YouTuber for 7 years…he turned into a lady in the last 9 months…and it was beyond my understanding….think this will happen to Mark ☹️
    .. It is unimaginable

  15. Magsafe has got to be one of the dumbest idea. If I wanted resistance from easily unplugging my phone from charging I would have used a fucking wired charging cable.

  16. Android it sound like a set up they can have it Apple dumb stuff that's probably Apple is so many years behind time they need to use that learn stuff like that for they self

  17. That's great and all but why?
What are the advantages of wireless charging exactly?
Instead of putting your phone down on the table and plug it it you need to put it down in a very specific spot that you can't move, is less efficient, you lose file transfer and is more expensive than a normal charger… Great…..
That stupid puck that sticks to the back of iPhones too, why? Instead of the cable going in the charging port it goes a few centimeters higher so it can power the puck……. Why???
