  1. i hope sony does release the proper official drivers for it to work on pc. i can see why the controllers only last about 4-5 hours with the haptic triggers and what not, something the quest 2 controllers don't have.

  2. Thanks for the review, cannot wait for next week. Your previous reviews convinced me to invest in the original PSVR and Quest 2. You have not steered me wrong yet. I am not into Racing games and have brought GT7 just from your excitement about playing it in VR

  3. Thanks for sharing your experience. We've been following you for a long time, actually since you started. Mentioned once in comments how wife and I have passed the 65 yr mark so we thought it would be good for us to follow certain sites to help us along. If I could say, what a joy it's been to see you develop your passion for gaming and VR and where it has taken you. So happy for you! Though we don't own a Quest (never have) what we do have – started with PSVR1 and Samsung Odyssey, then Valve Index, HP Reverb G2, HTC Vive Pro 2 and our daily driver now, Varjo Aero – we are excited to see PSVR2. We gave PS4 and PSVR1 setup to son and grandkids, but now hope someone can get PSVR2 working on PC in the near future. As an aside, Question; Bigscreen Beyond VR being so tiny, and me needing 125 readers with Aero, is that an issue with their VR setup?

  4. That "ghosting" or "double-image" effect on native 60 FPS games which are reprojected to 120 FPS is a real issue contributing to VR headaches and sickness. I really hope they patch options into games to lower the resolution and up the native refresh rate. On PS VR1 I had to avoid games with low native refresh rates. Thank god for the snap turning though. It's definitely a trade-off though and I was hoping the PS5 would have done away with this issue for this VR generation.

  5. Reloptix already has pre-orders for their prescription lens adapters in case you didn't know. Not too sure what happens with the eye tracking but I assume it will still work with them.
    Great review, by the way.

  6. The PSVR2 is a headset packed with lots of good tech especially for the price. I wish they would make pc compatibility with it, but I guess for now I'm sticking with the Pico 4. Thanks for another great vr review!

  7. This is a good example of Reluctant praise . Nathie and Mike are bedfellows regarding Passionate interest in Investments .,. Not VR . Making your own decision.?

  8. I believe. The competition will be on virtual reality between companies, and eventually companies will leave consoles.. Thank you for the distinguished review

  9. I'd buy it in an instant if there was PCVR support. As it stands, I'd rather have any PCVR headset over this, and I'm not buying it just to play a a few exclusives throughout it's lifecycle.

  10. Spending $1300 on a system that doesn’t have VR chat doesn’t make much sense. It’s cool I guess for those who don’t have a PCVR set up but it’s kind of worthless otherwise. I wish PlayStation made it PC compatible. I would probably go out and buy one.

  11. I bet games will run native 120hrz, the PS5 is capable, for instance MW2 runs 1080p @ 120hrz. So maybe they can upscale a lower resolution to hit the quality and retain 120hrz.

  12. I see so many YouTubers backing PSVR2 but honestly. I just don't think it's going to get the traction it needs. If you already have a PS5 it's hard to justify buying a VR solution for a higher cost than the console itself. If you already are into VR it's highly unlikely you'd wanna spend $1000 to be TIED to that ecosystem when you can go/continue with PCVR.

It's obvious this thing is specced out amazingly, but at the very least they should have made it open for PCVR. I get WHY they didn't but it just inhibits it as a great VR solution. For a little bit more you can get a Quest Pro that has standalone built in, AR/VR capable and PCVR capable.

  13. Not clear to me how this is a “game changer”? Certainly a couple of improvements, but look like they are largely offset by degradations in other areas. As an overall package (total cost) appears to be a lateral release or even step back compared to Quest Pro and other modern VR headsets

  14. Fortunately Sony didn't accommodate for Beady Policeman's Eyeballs that were trained for years to scrutinise diving licences. Overall a flimsy and rushed review. No mention of HDR His pal Natalie complained about a poor sweet spot? This is an excellent example of a monetary dependent Meta Shill who's main focus is planning for the next Meta Quest 3 Freebie event .Notice how he deliberately avoided any comparison between Quest and PSVR….?

  15. The Quest 2 also has capacitive touch sensors… The controllers know when your fingers and thumbs are touching the buttons, joystick, triggers and grips. Your review makes this seem like a never seen before feature.

  16. One of the best reviews so far! Ty so much, and also the best demonstration so far of the haptics and adaptive triggers those features really need to become standard. About foveated rendering, it is working on Horizon but as you say its a feature designed for you to not notice, in fact i think its pretty much impossible to notice and thats a good thing. Digital Froundry have a great demonstration of the tech working if you want to check it out.

  17. Great review, but have to wait till it goes on sale OR it's mod'd to work with PC Steam VR etc.. Seem to expensive to just tie it to one console with limited "great" content.
