  1. It was probably intentional that the experimental stations are out in the boonies, at least in the north east. Have a very very busy tesla charger near my place and it's always packed and always a line. Can't imagine what it'll be like if there were integration at that location. Also, lucky for other ev owners that tesla has the ccs (or css i can't remember) adapters built in. I had to purchase my own adapter so that i could charge my M3P at electrify america chargers, at it wasn't cheap. Btw for others who are looking into buying their own adapters to go to electrify america chargers: it's totally worth it. Made an account with EA, pay membership and get 10 cents/kwh cheaper. Just make sure your tesla is able to use the adapter before purchasing. THis is not an ad lol

  2. I have had a ev for 2 years now and love it, never had a problem charging it at dc fast charging stations, bunch in Walmart parking lots and shopping centers. Never been to a Tesla charging area before. No real problem charging.

  3. To me the most concerning thing is the stations that only have 6 spots. Usually they're busy enough, let alone with a trucks having to take 2 spots

  4. it moslty seems like the cords being longer would fix the parking issues. and its also smart for tesla to do this long term, it will help pay for more chargers to be installed off non tesla users uing this system.

  5. I live in Europe (Germany) and have a Model Y. I never charge at Tesla because it is way way too expensive. I always charge at public chargers. But to be honest there are more non Tesla chargers available , then Tesla chargers.
In Germany (I think it's standard in Europe) all cars are equipped with CCS Plugs (Tesla and none Tesla).

  6. Marquis, would you be able to share what is the time plus expense comparison for an EV (charging)versus a combustion vehicle (fueling)?

  7. This is a step forward for a ev’s as a whole but a shot in the foot for tesla. Legit helping the competition that were previously trying to crush you and put you out of business

  8. Love the auto focus channel but you really need to get a mic for filming the audio has so much Echo when you hold it up to the windshield.

  9. Tesla doesn't need to bend to other car manufacturers' failure to provide adequate charging on the go through public infrastructure and bad design from where they placed the charge ports.

  10. I wish they still offer Tesla vehicles a slightly higher priority. For example if the station is 90% occupied, the remaining slot can't be unlocked for non-Teslas

  11. this is like apple giving FaceTime to android users. Just that much so that you can have a taste of it but not all off it so that you can still fell like a pesant every time you are forced to charge on the public network 😂

  12. Elon has stated a number of times that Tesla will only open up Superchargers to non-Teslas where there is spare capacity.

  13. Tesla super charger is the best!! I charge 75% at home. Someone needs to sell extension for the non tesla evs. So you can back up and charge

  14. Damn $30 bucks and not even fully charged, hmmmm. I thought electric cars saved you a lot of money with not having to deal with gas but it doesn't seem to. $30 for going from 30% to 80%. So a full charge would be about $50-60 or so.

  15. I am a model X owner and if some non-Tesla cars need to take up two spaces at the busy stations I frequent in CA I can foresee that the patience of the Tesla drivers will wear thin pretty quickly.
