  1. tbh, this is just another positive overhype train. like company a should follow the steps of this company x. we already saw this situations many times. then company x gets a pass with all its flaws because of the overhype positive train.

  2. Speaking of the history of RPGs the big one you all left out was Bioware. Haha, everyone forgot how big Bioware was. Baldur's Gate 1, 2 made them legendary. Then Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age.

Bioware being bought by Microsoft is what almost killed off CRPGs for a time. Very happy to see Larian and others picking up where they left off. BG 3 is a masterpiece.

  3. What Golden Age? It's a 7/10 game. Is it being praised so much because it's released as a complete product and just works unlike your average modern AAA game? Standards really have fallen to sub zero for BG3 to be hailed as the 2nd coming of Christ.

  4. Great year for D&D really – the movie was great fun (even though it didnt do well), BG3 in the gaming space, and a new Planescape book on the way too.

  5. Let me fix that title for you "Baldurs Gate 3 is proof that we have to GO BACK to the golden age of gaming where developers SHIP COMPLETED GAMES"

  6. No its just proof that no other studio has any excuse for a poor game release. Every new release after Baldurs should be held to the same standards
