  1. Same thoughts here! I have a base M1 MacBook Air a few months ago and it rocks! It does medium 1080p video editing, runs favorite casual games from the iPad that would like to play on the Mac because of the bigger screen, and zooms through lots and lots of productivity work. I'll probably be using this for almost a decade unless I start VFX work again, to which the chips that will be released by then would be worth the purchase.

  2. I can understand buying a powerful MacBook for intense video editing, but I am not interested in gaming. I understand that many people are gamers, but for me, features and improvements have to be related to productivity.
