  1. Marques had it right, the amperage comes down not the wattage. The voltage goes higher the amperage goes lower the wattage stays the same. and yes, Ohms laws apply.

  2. Not the way it was promised. And all the nonsense about it being an 'exoskeleton' when it's stainless panels attached to a unibody frame…stop it.

This is an attempt to keep up with the GM Hummer EV and keep fraud lawsuits and criminal charges at bay.

  3. Points well taken, but the range extender battery gets a lot closer to 500 miles with 440. It’s more cab-forward than the Rivian or other EV trucks with larger frunks, but the bed is longer, which I think most truck owners, myself included, would prefer, especially with the volume under the very theft-deterrent cover. I’ve always wanted a Honda ridgeline for many reasons, including the under bed storage, which the Cybertruck has too. Maybe other EVs do as well, but all trucks should have that in my opinion; whatever space under the truck near the back, that’s not being used by the spare tire is just wasted space otherwise. It’s also almost a second faster 0 to 60 than the other EV trucks, less expensive and bulletproof in it’s body panels which appears to help in crash tests. It’s also made by the most innovative car manufacturer which implements ideas much faster than traditional manufacturers which bodes well for it’s future and product support like parts.

  4. So they promised 500 but delivered about 300 for range and we still want that sht? And the price almost doubled 😂😂. Tesla engineers are amazing but Elon is a joke with his promises

  5. This isn't the first time they delivered less than what was claimed. For fucks sake, there was just a whole big thing exposing how their range meter was basically operating like if your fuel gauge dropped 20% slower than the amount of fuel really being used, then at a half tank it recalibrated to show the only quarter tank that was actually left.

  6. Marques is just hating at this point; said more negative than positive. Maybe the other brands are paying you. If panel gaps mattered as much Model Y wouldn't be the best-selling car in the world

  7. They go on about how poor the build quality is and then completely brush it off by saying it’s a Tesla it is what it is, it’s not great, it’s not horrible…it’s a 100k car, which other manufacturer offers anything less than pure luxury at this price point?!? The interior is literally so bare. Not even cooled seats which is basic in many low end models of other manufacturers. One could argue you get range with Tesla’s but it doesn’t even deliver on that! It comes with a smaller front trunk, it comes with 3000lbs of towing weight less, it’s smaller than its competitors, but oh hey it does 0-60mph at 2.7 seconds and it’s a truck YO! Priorities first!!! Grow some balls MKBHD praise some of its tech but bash it for what a terrible deal it is for its money. Be honest! But no! You’re just a tech hype dude that can never say anything bad about anyone…panels fall off..but oh hey it’s a Tesla it’s not great it’s not horrible…seriously, what?!?

  8. So techs gurus and electrical engineers. Let’s do some maths. If we removed 5% of the total mass of the CT (Which was the main concerns of many on the lunch event that needed to fit in ppls garages) is it not to assume that the overall promised product would also be 5% less, meaning 5% less battery = less range, 5% less towing and payload almost equal to the final product and because is 5% less weight is a little faster. Sorry but you can’t have it all. The price is fair to actual inflation rates.

  9. Marques keeps saying “they promised” when it comes to the specs, but is “promise” really accurate? Or were the specs an estimate? (I don’t claim to know or remember). I think it makes a difference. Pandemic, Supply Chain issues, and significant inflation are the framework under which the Cybertruck came to production. Pricing isn’t GREAT, but if one is intellectually honest, it could have been worse, especially given 2 (two) million reservations. Also, does this “promise vs reality” happen with other automakers? It sure does. Take a look at concept cars vs production cars, they’re very different. The CT looks virtually identical and true to its concept form. It seems that many reviews are hyper-focused on Cybertruck in a vacuum and lack context. Another example: Pedestrian safety. “You can’t see over the hood!” But if you part these trucks nose-to-nose and look at an F150 or RAM vs the CT, their blind spot here are even more pronounced. It’s comical they focus on CT nose while blithely ignoring those of other manufacturers. Just sayin. It’s an interesting conversation, and I agree with many, but not all, of the points these young gentlemen make. 😊

  10. "The quality isn’t great; it’s not horrible. It’s a Tesla”
“A piece fell off before we started testing it”
    "It is what it is…"
It sounds like it's an overpriced piece of shit.

  11. Oh God, the overreacting when he says he has several criticisms 😮 At the end of the day, companies make aspirational claims all the time.

The fact that Tesla produced a vehicle that's so far ahead of every incumbent. As well as being so innovative and original is pretty freaking amazing.

And for all those idiots predicting the failure of the CyberTruck and Tesla 😂 Don't hold your breath because Ford and GM both delayed EV production indefinitely. Europe is failing miserably and Japan hasn't even started….unless you count the Prius or Leaf 😂😂😂

  12. …. like you ate wrong …

    P(W) = U(V) x I(A)

For same power you get less amperage….

It does has less wire losses
    P=R x I^2 …

So reducing I(A) you reduce losses in wire…

You guys in States have really bad tech schools 😂…

Do you even know Ohms Law ???

  13. 10:11 sorry to say, but this needs correction. The change from 12 V to 48 V is to decrease the CURRENT! This is because higher current requires thicker wire to push the same power (watts). So 12v x 4 amps = 48 watts and 48v x 1 amp = 48 watts – the result is the same difference is the required thickness of the cable.. lower current and higher voltage, gives lower resistance… you got ohms law backwards.. 😉🤓 best regards..

  14. Common man. The numbers are not all worse. The AWD version of the truck beats almost all its 2019 announcement numbers. When you say it in a non factual way like “all numbers are worse” you sound like the mainstream media and Tesla bears that hate Elon.

  15. MKB…love you, but you are way off on the weight of the Rivians…you said 7,500…please recheck. Mine is a Quad on 22's @ 7,005 lbs. So max, maybe add 140 lbs for the underbody shield, 7145 lbs with a larger battery @ 135 kWh.

  16. Okay, like you, like kept saying, like “promised”. What you like should have like, said “stated”. Oh and like you guys like, need to drop all the “likes”.

  17. 1:22 Just to correct him on this. It’s two out of the 5 for the Cyberbeast and 3 out of the five for Dual motor. Cyberbeast: 0-60 and top speed, Dual motor 0-60, range and towing capacity.

  18. One of the disappointment of the cyber truck is range. As it is using 4680 batteries. Big Hype on 4680 batteries. The Rwd version has 250 miles, all wheel drive has 340 and the cyberbeast has 320. Nowhere near 400 miles unless you get and pay more for a range extender.
Don't get me wrong, the cybertruck is Badass but the range is not what was informed originally.

  19. Stealing this from @claykeller3978, because I was going to make the same comment. I hate when youTubers dont give people all the information. They missed on the top variant with 500mi and price, "In fairness the 2 motor was “promised” at 300+ mile range and the AWD has a 340 mile range. So Tesla did also over deliver on the 2 motor version".
