  1. I think Google is doing a better job at trying to understand what a tablet is useful for and they understand that most of the time it's just lying around so they made it into a useful screen when ur not using it. That's thinking outside the box. We need more ideas to make tablets just more useful or fun

  2. Thinner Pro is a must-upgrade for my wife who uses it as a daily driver device as well as a secondary laptop display, and needs to fit it into an efficiently packed bag to carry from meeting to meeting all day. I'm interested in 13" iPads for reading sheet music and am hoping the thinness makes it a better fit on music stands, though the Air is probably sufficient for that purpose and I'm glad music students might have cheaper access to a large size.

  3. Thunderbolt 4 is fast enough to share huge amounts of data quickly. I’d like to see this tether to a MacBook Pro and increase processing power. Faster export times?

  4. Yeah… i'm gonna wait till the wwdc to see if they've got plans for taking advantage of all the extra power before deciding. As an artist, the update to the pencil (and the backing of the procreate people) has me intrigued… but my 2020 non-apple chip ipad works just fine, so I don't know

  5. Until there is IOS for ipad available, I am staying with my ipad pro 2019 and mini6 – there is absolutely no need for all these spec bumps when software is so limited in comparison…

  6. I don't know maybe something is coming .. so we can't see the full picture yet, but I like the new Air version I guess I would go for that instead of Pro that is too extreme for me..

  7. I remember when I bought the M1 iPad Pro I thought "Well, I have an M1 laptop and that's great". I was kinda disappointed that the super expensive magnetic keyboard didn't just turn it into a laptop. It's great for media consumption. It's great for procreate. Would I use it to edit video…? No, why the merry hell would I do that? It doesn't even work that well for sidecar.

With how thin and small the ipad is now… I'm out. I don't want something to be that thin.

  8. They should just allow the iPad Pro run MacOS apps natively and market it as a replacement Macbook Air and sell it with the magic keyboard and pen.

  9. Centre camera, OLED screen and function keys on the Magic Keyboard – the main gripes I have had for years. This is the end game for me. Shame about the price – will have to wait just a little longer for the next iteration (or a refurb) to pick this up for a great price.

  10. Since the rumors of the very first iPad leaked out, I have always thought Apple should put OS/X – not iOS – on the iPad.

Imagine all the functionality of a MacBook or iMac on a device as slim and portable as the iPad.

Apple – at least let us dual-boot these things into iOS or OS/X. Why put all this power into a device that's constrained by the OS???

  11. It doesn't matter how powerful it is, iPads are just a solution looking for a problem for me. Let me run MacOS though, and I'll ditch my old 12" MacBook in a heartbeat.

  12. Apple keeps selling these high end tablets with the consumer expectation that the software will catch up so they can only delay opening up ipados for power users so long before they stop buying new iPad pros.

  13. I'm pretty sure as long as Tim Cook stays at the helm, Apple is a company in decline. They don't have any innovation left in them.
