  1. Great Podcast Guy's the Slate truck is giving me Tonka truck feel Cute.Good to see Ellis and Andrew back Thanks so much for sharing.💯✌️

  2. Reserved mine day 1. Again it’s going to come down to price after the upgrades and quality. If the price jumps up past 35k for a suv kit that’s going to be a killer and most will just grab a Tesla 3 or used model y. So Slate Auto really needs to figure out how to keep price point low. We shall see but as of now excited for Slate and hoping these guys can pull it off and be a great American made car company

  3. 1:14:24 omg I was thinking this just the other day. I downloaded a bunch of LLM apps and didn’t even open them bc I was so confused. The 6-sided die is * exactly * what I need/want

  4. I think if Slate launched in Europe it’d be popular. We don’t really do typical big pickups here so it’d be a lot more appealing/useable.

Also that CMF wallet is literally a Moft stand 🤦

  5. I drove one of those Ford Transit vans for a business for a while, I´m 6 feet tall, and I could easily stand up straight in that with enough headroom that it didn´t feel cramped, so I´m pretty sure you could as well. Also, I second that you can stack things a lot higher in a van than you can on a truckbed, at least if you keep things road safe with the pickup truck, the floor of a van is much lower htan a tuckbed and you don´t need to worry about the aerodynamics of your cargo when stacking it verticaly

  6. As a European, I agree that utility vans are everywhere and are dull and ugly-looking compared to pickup trucks in the US. But honestly, I’m still struggling to understand how pickup trucks could be practical in any way as utility vehicles.

  7. SLATE makes no sense to me –
    – People who are looking for value can get a loaded Kia K4 for $28,000 , starts at $22k in the US
    – People who are on a tight budget usually shop in the pre-owned market, can pickup another car with more features for about $20-25k. These people don't care about Gas or Electric
    – People who are shopping for a first car go for either a beater ($8k cars – still more features), have a job and can pay monthly lease payments ? $200-$300/month gets you almost any half-decent NEW Car. Also don't want to be reminded everyday they are not well off.

How can they compete with Ford Maverick ?

Make it make sense. Should have started with a Hybrid or Plug-in-Hybrid to keep costs down.

  8. Guys! IS NO ONE GONNA POINT OUT THAT THE IPHONE 6s CAME out in September 2015????😂 1:24:27
Guys 2014 was iPhone 6!! Mkbhd got wrong y’all. I hope they take his point back lol

  9. The LG G5 of trucks. A colorless, quirky, product from an underdog company, and everything you want to do with it is an extra add on. Want more battery? Cha-ching! Banging speaker? Plug it in! Want color? Wrap it in a skin!

  10. I always get so annoyed when tech people talk about trucks. This misnomer that nobody uses a pickup truck as a pickup truck. Sure that exists and it's very real. Next time you're out on the interstate though look at how many of the pickup trucks have logos on them. Also, almost every guy I have ever known who owned a pickup truck, used it for its intended purpose, at least once a year. This BS argument that nobody who buys a truck actually uses. It is getting really old.

  11. Bare bones ford ranger in 1998 was $8,990 now we are talking about a bare bones small truck being cheap when it's $30,000 what the hell is wrong with people.

  12. the argument about the ford transit is super valid. pickup trucks are not a thing in europe and everyone uses a transit van and everything works 😀 for 95% of use cases a transit van gets the job done as good or better than a pickup truck

  13. For that kind of money I would just get the ford maverick. It’s not all electric, but it’s only 24000 with no incentive and it has 4 doors, android auto, and runs on gas and battery, and gets 40 miles to the gallon. 🙂

  14. The question is why did finally someone built a modular car, whose tech won't be outdated in 2 years, which is great – and then decided to have the battery non modular??

  15. All these modular phones and vehicles are almost destined to fail in today's tech world, especially phoens because the phoes are so integrated and each component is customized to the transister itself.

These modular phone and truck companies are banking on that demand for individualism beat the two most significant rules in manufacturing, that is economy of scale and lean manufacturing.

  16. Omg David, I am on the street walking my dog laughing out loud at your ridiculousness and this game and it is just making my night. I do adore you
