Hey, I have recently read an inspiring interview about the Future of VR. You will find very interesting ideas from Rohith Bhat, the founder of Robosoft Technologies.
Wish the audio wasnt so messed up. He sounds like turbo-man with the modulation.
That was a really inspirational presentation by Dominic. I think it's very important to see the benefits of virtual reality in general and not only the gaming part. I'm sure interesting things will happen with VR/AR in the next couple of years and it's going to be fun to follow the development
Hi Dominic Very good and positive view of the possibilities of VR. It shows that we should all try to help each other on this earth as best as we can, especially the poorest ones… Greetings Michael
@Jennifer Reitz: so it´s on us and maybe you to change this situation.
I own the PSVR, the Vive and the Oculus Rift. I have observed that, in VR, there is no shortage of really awful trolls, asshats, jerks and oversexualized children. I have no idea where these kids are getting the kind of money needed to be in VR all the time, but they are truly awful: racist, sexist Call-Of-Duty styled behavior, dry-humping virtual legs in chatrooms, constantly badgering and generally being terrible. Several apps have had to create universal, togglable personal 'force-fields' to keep these humping boys at bay.
VR will not make any part of humanity better. It will provide one more arena for toxic boys and young men to try to grab the breasts and fondle the nethers of any and every other avatar around them. Because that is exactly what is happening right now. As anyone with a VR set and access to the internet should already be very aware of.
VR just means being abused online, only now in 3D with a real sense of personal invasion.
The only fix for humanity is not toys, but to change humanity.
That presentation was amazing! VR and AR will definitely change our life in an enormous way.

Here an example, that VR is far beyond your limited view:
